I Don’t Want Another Baby But…

I have written a fair few posts about the fact that I don’t want any more children. That hasn’t changed. I still want to be sterilised even though that isn’t an option on the NHS at the moment. Just recently I have seen so many people having babies or getting pregnant, whether that be with their first, second or third etc. There are babies everywhere. It really makes me think about some things and I don’t want another baby but… I feel pretty cheated about my pregnancy with Erin. Although we were actually trying to

The First Snow

This year the 30th November was a pretty magical day. This was the day we had the first snow of the winter. Erin was only 1 in January when we last had snow and she doesn’t remember it at all. When we woke up on the 30th it was a really miserable wet day. I had seen pictures on Facebook from people who live close by of the snow and  was a bit jealous we didn’t have any. Luckily, it didn’t take long for the first snow to fall! When it first started it took

Dealing With A Daredevil Toddler

Erin was born premature at 36+4 and even though she was a tiny 4lb 8oz, I don’t think I ever really thought too much about how small and fragile she really was. I look back at pictures of Erin as a newborn now and I think she can’t really have ever been that small. Of course, she was though. While I am so protective over Erin in certain circumstances but I have always encouraged her to be independent and strong willed. She is nearly 2 and the most strong willed little girl I have ever known.

The Washing Machine That Gets Better With Time

A couple of weeks ago I showed you all the amazing new Beko washing machine we received (read the review) and even gave one lucky ready the chance to win one for themselves (enter here: ends 14/12). I very quickly fell in love with the features I had figured out how to use and I kept looking at my wonderfully shiny new machine like it was jewellery. Some appliances though lose their shine after a few weeks and you realise that maybe they’re not as good as what you first thought. That was not the

Staying Connected With The Varta Slim Power Bank 6000

John and I love to get away and this year we have been on a fair few weekends away and a holiday. Neither of us drive though so we always have to use public transport. Not all trains have plug sockets so sometimes we’re stuck for 4+ hours without a way to charge our phones and tablets. When John and I go away together we end up with 2 phones, a camera, tablet and a laptop depending on how long we go for. A power bank is a must have in our family! Varta are

The Importance Of Handwriting

One thing I remember so clearly about being in primary school was learning to write. I remember those worksheets where you had to trace the letters with your pencil and then copy yourself on the line underneath. I remember doing those over and over again for hours but I like to think that I have quite nice handwriting. I’m the one who writes the birthday and Christmas cards because I’m always telling my husband he has horrible man writing. I don’t actually think that’s a thing but my handwriting is definitely neater. Erin will be

Home Extension Dreams

AD | Collaborative post When we bought our home in 2014 we knew it needed a lot of work. It’s partly why we got it at the price we did and also why we were able to afford to get on the ladder at that time in the first place. We have a decent sized 4 bedroom semi but some things just don’t work for us. We have a galley kitchen and a bathroom at the back of the house and there just isn’t enough space. I would absolutely love to have an extension added

What We’ve Been Watching: November

What We’ve Been Watching is a monthly feature where we talk about everything we’ve been watching over the past month. It might be something on Netflix, Sky or even just a DVD we’ve had for years but wanted to watch again. If we’ve been watching something new we’ll talk about that too! Stranger Things 2 Stranger Things was one of my absolute favourite shows last year and I have been on countdown to Stranger Things 2 since it ended. This is something John and I were able to watch together as there were only 9
