Caketoppers cupcakes review and giveaway!

When Caketoppers got in touch and asked if I wanted to sample their cupcakes I, of course, said a big fat yes. There is a giveaway at the bottom of this post as well!

The first thing to note really is that these cupcakes came so well packaged. Being a cake product that was coming through regular mail I was worried that I would end up with squished or broken cakes. That wasn’t the case at all though. The cakes came well bubble wrapped and they were in perfect condition when getting them out of their box.

Before our cupcakes were sent out we were asked to provide an image that we would like put on the top of them. I love seeing Erin’s cute little face so I obviously chose one of my favourite photos of her. The quality of the photo is fantastic and I didn’t even have to use a HD image. It was just a photo taken from the camera on my phone. I was so pleased with how they turned out!

We were sent two different flavours, one chocolate and one vanilla cupcake. Although not photographed here, each cupcakes comes individually wrapped.

My husband was very lucky that I was feeling nice on the day that these arrived. He has a big thing about chocolate so he got to taste that while I had the vanilla cupcake to myself.

I absolutely love icing and these cupcakes have a really good chunk of it on top of the sponge. There was just enough to stop it being too sweet and sickly. For me it was the perfect amount. The sponge was so moist and light and the cake as a whole was absolutely delicious.

John’s chocolate cupcake only barely lasted long enough for me to take this photo of it. We both wanted more because the cakes were so nice.

I’m so happy that we get to share a discount code with you all, should you want to taste these amazing cakes for yourself. Just enter LFF10 at the checkout and you’ll get 10% off!

Caketoppers have kindly given us a prize of 9 flower cupcakes in a box to give away as a prize. Just use the Rafflecopter form below to enter.

  1. Love Cupcakes. But not as much as my Girlfriend. Maybe one day she will love me as much as she loves cupcakes!

  2. Ooops, my last comment was 1 word too short! I would use a beautiful landscape photo – probably a wooded landscape in the autumn/winter 🙂

  3. I’ve got the most perfect close up selfie my little boy took accidentally with my phone that would look just perfect on top of a round cupcake. x

  4. I think a photo of both of my children together – if they can behave long enough for me to take a photo!

  5. I would personalise the cakes with a family photo from our summer holiday and one of my 25th wedding anniversary.

  6. These look delicious, mail order cakes are becoming more popular these days. I would personalise with the most important person in my life my nephew Leon

  7. i would put on a photo of the kittens we got in 1997 as the surviving one is turning 20 next year (her brother died the day before he would have turned 17)

  8. I would choose a daft photo of me, the husband and our son wishing everybody a Merry Christmas. I would give them instead of Christmas cards

  9. I’d use a guide badge, and share them with the other guide leaders after a long day at camp when we need a boost 😀 WHile a personal photo would be lovely I’d feel so wrong eating it!

  10. These look yummy. I would probably use a photo of my daughter. She’d be amazed to see her face on a cupcake!!

  11. Would have a picture of my three kids and give them go there nana as she lives so far away we don’t get to see her oftn

  12. I would personalise the cakes with my chug Arthur as he’s so adorable I could eat him up so would be a funny yet tasty treat xx
