If you didn’t already know, this week is National Tea Week and Saturday 21st April is National Tea Day. John is a big tea drinker and my sister who is living with us at the moment has a pretty impressive tea collection from all over the world. It’s funny really, how when people think of the UK they think of afternoon tea and people with their pinky fingers high in the air while drinking a nice cup of tea. Buy A Gift got in touch recently to share some really interesting information about Britain and how people drink their tea!
I have been married now for coming up to 5 years (September 2018) and just recently I’ve been thinking about thing I wish I had done before that happened. Not only is the decision to get married absolutely huge but planning the wedding can be such a massive job. John and I went back and forth with quite a few ideas for our wedding and it was frustrating to see what we could and could not do. Looking back, a wedding themed blog would have been a great idea. I thought I’d write some blogging tips for anyone thinking about

We are on countdown now to our first family holiday in only a few days time. However, before we decided on a final destination we had so many different choices of where we could go and it took quite a long time to decide. With summer just around the corner (hopefully) I thought it would be a good idea to write about some of the places we considered. Benidorm I actually went to Benidorm way back when I was 18 and as cheesy as the TV show makes it seem, I loved it! Although I went in March it made
Dog houses are certainly a thing of the past. These days, the idea of leaving the dog sleeping out in the cold is a horrifying thought to many. After all, dogs are no longer there to just guard the house; they are considered as part of the family in many homes. And of course, the humanisation of household pets is becoming increasingly more prevalent over the last couple of decades. It comes as no surprise then to see many manufacturers creating a wide range of products designed specifically for dogs. The most popular among the lot is the dog bed.
We are very lucky to have quite a large garden, even if it needs a bit of work doing to it. As soon as we moved in we started to clear the overgrown mess we had been left with and after 3 skips worth of rubbish, we ended up with a nice lawn (although now ruined by a dog). We also got new fences a couple of years ago and our neighbour did the same so that was a big job done. When we moved in it was just me and John but now, we need to think more about
I don’t really think it matters whether you have a son, daughter or a mix of both, there will always be things you want to tell them as they get older. It got me thinking about some of the things I want Erin to know as she grows up and what life lessons I want to teach her. I think there are lots of things I wish I knew and I wish someone had talked to me about more. It’s okay to make mistakes Believe me, I made a million mistakes growing up. However, I think I was extremely hard
Spring has come along so fast this year! It’s amazing to see all of the spring flowers starting to pop up everywhere, and with Easter Sunday fast approaching, trying to plan anything with the family can be an uphill struggle. With summer just around the corner, it might be time to start planning your 2018 summer family getaways while you can… The sun can be evasive at the best of times here in the UK, but when the sun does come out to play, there are so many things we can do with the family to make the most of
