Back To Reality

Isn’t the first normal day back from a holiday the worst? Our flight landed back into Stansted yesterday at 3pm and we didn’t actually step through our door until 7:30 after a 3 hour train journey home. We have never done so much travelling with Erin in one day and she was absolutely exhausted! I’m really glad that John took today off work instead of going straight back because now it means we get a day to get ourselves back to normal. Of course, after 10 days away we have come back with a whole load of washing to do and work and

Erin’s Holiday Wardrobe Haul

At this age, small children don’t really go from one summer to the next still being able to wear the same clothes. Erin is so different now compared to a year ago so I knew that I would have to buy her quite a lot of new clothes for our holiday to Majorca. Travelling Outfits As this is our first family holiday abroad, it’s also the first time that Erin will have been on a plane. The flight is only 2.5 hours long but for a toddler, this can be a very long time. With the help of intu Chapelfield

Our First Family Holiday Abroad

It feels like this day has been a very long time coming. This morning John, Erin and I are flying to Palma ready for our first family holiday abroad to Puerto Pollensa, Majorca. I remember booking this holiday way back in March 2017 so we’ve actually had over a year to wait for it to happen. I like booking holidays head whenever I can because it’s good to be able to spread the cost if you need to. We went on holiday last year to Center Parcs in October but I have been dreaming of sun, a pool and the beach

Getting Summer Ready With Simply Swim and Splash About

In a few weeks we will be heading off to Majorca for our first family holiday abroad. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am right now. I am usually a really prepared person but I have sort of felt out of my depth preparing for this holiday. I never really thought about a lot of important things like changing what Erin might wear while swimming or at the beach. Luckily, we had a bit of help from Simply Swim and their Splash About collection. We have been buying Splash About products for Erin since she was

Countdown To Our First Family Holiday Abroad

The last time we went abroad was September 2015, a few months before Erin was born. I knew then that it would probably be a few years before we’d be able to go abroad on holiday again so I wanted to make the most of it while I could. In 2016 we didn’t go anywhere at all and in 2017 we managed quite a few weekends away and also a holiday to Center Parcs. But, I’d been dreaming of a relaxing week away with just John and Erin somewhere at least slightly warm. This time in 5 weeks we will

Aqua Sana Spa At Center Parcs Elveden Forest

Something I had been looking forward to since the minute we booked out holiday at Center Parcs was the spa. I had heard so many great things about Aqua Sana and I was desperate to experience it for myself. I’m 31 and I had never actually been to a spa before so I was really excited. My sister was super nice and paid for my spa visit as a very early Christmas present. There are loads of different packages available but we got a 3 hour session and it cost £69, not including treatments. Packages vary depending on the time

Center Parcs Restaurants: Huck’s American Bar & Grill

We decided to eat out on each evening of out holiday and our first night we chose Huck’s American Bar & Grill. We wanted to be able to eat a variety of food and not eat at the same place more than once. Huck’s is located in the Village Square and was a quick 10-15 minute walk away from our lodge, depending on whether Erin was walking or in her pushchair. The play areas in Huck’s are pretty amazing. There is a small room with soft play blocks for very young children and a bigger room that was a bit

Center Parcs Activities: Target Archery

Although we didn’t book in too many activities during our midweek break at Center Parcs Elveden Forest, we did do a few different things over the course of the week. When we originally booked to do Target Archery it was supposed to be for John, my sister and her fiance. However, about 6 weeks before our holiday, John broke his wrist so couldn’t go to Target Archery. So, I went instead! Target Archery costs £24.50 per adult and £20.50 per child and the activity lasts for 55 minutes. I’m not sure what age this is suitable for with regards to
