Restaurants At Center Parcs Elveden Forest

October saw us go on our first ever real family holiday and we chose Center Parcs, Elveden Forest for that! We booked for a Monday to Friday break and we couldn’t wait. As we had booked quite a few months in advance I had loads of time to look over the activity options and also to decide where we would eat on each day. Center Parcs has quite a few different restaurants to choose from and we were lucky enough to have a fair few meals out during our holiday. While we have reviewed each restaurant in detail, here is

Buy A Gift: Sparkling Afternoon Tea For 2 Experience

A couple of weeks ago I spoke about Buy A Gift in the gift guide for travel lovers. We were lucky enough to receive two complimentary experiences through Buy A Gift, once of which was Sparkling Afternoon Tea for 2 at the Beechwood Hotel in North Walsham, Norfolk. When you order an experience through Buy A Gift you are sent a lovely presentation card with information about the experience as well as a code to redeem online. The great thing about Buy A Gift experiences is that you can exchange a lot of them online if it isn’t quite suitable for

Afternoon Tea At Patisserie Valerie

Although I have had cakes from Patisserie Valerie before, it’s not somewhere I ever thought to go for Afternoon Tea. I’m not sure why! My sister came for a visit last week though and had purchased a Groupon voucher for Afternoon Tea at Patisserie Valerie in Norwich! Normally, this would have cost £25 but the voucher was £19, making a saving of £6. It’s not loads but at least it works out at less than £10 each. When we arrived we didn’t have to wait to be seated and instead just sorted ourselves out a table and high chair and waited for

Center Parcs Restaurants: Pancake House

During our first trip to America back in 2013 for our wedding both John and I fell in love with the pancakes. There’s nothing better than a real American pancake and a trip to either IHOP or Denny’s. Sometimes I think I would pay to go back just for some strawberry and banana pancakes. Anyway, as soon as I saw that there was a Pancake House at Centre Parcs, I knew I had to eat there. The menu looked amazing and there was so much choice. I found myself drooling over it numerous times before our holiday. Originally, we had

Center Parcs Restaurants: Bella Italia

Planning where we were going to eat during our Center Parcs holiday was really easy because there is a lot of choice for restaurants. Somewhere all of us was looking forward to was Bella Italia as it’s well-known and somewhere we had all been before. We had booked our meal online before we arrived and paid the £5 deposit per person, which we knew would come off our final bill. Me and my sister had a spa session booked which was supposed to finish at 6pm so we booked our table for 6:30. As it turned out, we went to

Center Parcs Restaurants: Café Rouge

On the second evening of our holiday we had booked to eat at Café Rouge at 6pm. Tuesday is Steak Night so you can get any steak with fries for £15, which is a hell of a lot cheaper than the price on the main menu. We arrived at about 5:45 as we had just finished swimming and we got seated no problem. We were seated at a lovely big table and we had more than enough space for the four of us, Erin and the couple of bags we had with us. The restaurant was steady but not overly busy.

Center Parcs Restaurants: Huck’s American Bar & Grill

We decided to eat out on each evening of out holiday and our first night we chose Huck’s American Bar & Grill. We wanted to be able to eat a variety of food and not eat at the same place more than once. Huck’s is located in the Village Square and was a quick 10-15 minute walk away from our lodge, depending on whether Erin was walking or in her pushchair. The play areas in Huck’s are pretty amazing. There is a small room with soft play blocks for very young children and a bigger room that was a bit

Center Parcs Restaurants: Sports Cafe

On the first day of our holiday we arrived at about 12pm but couldn’t get into our lodge until 3pm. As we already had meals booked in at some of the other restaurants throughout the week we decided to get lunch at the Sports Café which is located in the Sports Plaza. All of the restaurants are in the Village and only a couple of minutes walk from the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. When we got there it was heaving!! We got a table okay but there was a bit of a wait for a high chair for Erin. Luckily, the
