Sometimes the people that I find the hardest to buy for are those I might not know quite so well or if I need to buy a gift for a couple or family. For that reason I have put together some gift ideas for the home, as they could be suitable for a whole range of people!

Personalised Beech Chopping Board

If you are looking for a gift for a family this year then the Personalised Beech Chopping Board from The Gift Experience could be a good choice! It is practical, something that will get used a lot, and it can be personalised with the family’s name. Even though this one is called a chopping board, it would also make a really great cheese board too!

Family Tree Cushion

John always laughs at how many cushions we have at home. I think I probably like them more than the average person. Another lovely gift for a family is the Family Tree Cushion from The Personalised Gift Shop. You can personalise the cushion with the names of each member of the family as well as a surname.

It’s always lovely to have a friend over for a cuppa and sometimes it’s nice to break out the fancy cups and some delicious biscuits. The Sara Miller London Portmeirion Geese collection is great for the festive period and it’s really a beautiful set. It’s also available in a penguin design.

Beanies Flavour Co

My Mum loves her coffee and it’s great that there are so many different flavours available. This 3 Jar Stash Box from Beanies Flavour Co comes with festive flavours such as Christmas Pudding, Ginger Bread and Mulled Wine (other flavours also available).

Cadbury chocolates

This one is a little bit of a cheat really but when you don’t know what to buy someone, chocolate is usually a good idea. A selection of Cadbury chocolates would go down a treat in my house and there is something that we would all like. The chocolate tree decorations take me back to when I was a child and that is a lovely tradition to keep or pass to someone else.

AnySharp Pro knife sharpener

We have suffered with rubbish blunt knives for years now but I’m just too tight to buy another set. Instead of having to replace knives a better idea is the AnySharp Pro knife sharpener*. You don’t need any special skills to use it and it can sharpen both hardened and serrated knives making it a really useful kitchen accessory.

The Funky Iron Company

Ironing is something I just don’t like doing and it’s even worse when you have to do it with a rubbish iron. The Funky Iron comes in 3 beautiful colours with a retro design and has a built-in steam pump so you can iron with ease! To make things even better, The Funky Iron also has a self-clean system. This would make a lovely gift for someone that might have just moved into a new home!

Vie Naturals Dream Catchers

Maybe you’re looking for a gift for someone who likes something a bit different for the home. Vie Naturals Dream Catchers come in a variety of colours and sizes and they even come in lovely bundles. I remember my sister having a few of these as a teenager so they could make an idea gift for both adults and older children.

Greenhouse Planter from Red Candy

Does the person you’re buying for have green fingers? This Greenhouse Planter from Red Candy would make a great home for a succulent (or tiny plant). The ceramic plant pot is cute and beautifully decorated with leaves and even a butterfly!

Even though this is quite a practical list, the products would make really lovely Christmas presents. Which is your favourite?
