National Trust: Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate

Being a non-driving family we don’t often get to visit National Trust properties. Sadly, a lot of them are not close enough to public transport and we tent to overlook them when thinking about days out. However, recently we went on a day out with my sister and brother-in-law and made the most of being able to go somewhere in a car. Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate was where we chose to go!

Jumping for joy at High Altitude Norwich

AD | We received a free session and socks but paid for lunch ourselves We are so lucky that we have so many options for days out here in Norfolk and there are so many places that we haven’t been to before. We were recently invited to visit High Altitude in Norwich for a bouncing session!

Under the sea at Sea Life Great Yarmouth

AD | Press tickets On a day out a couple of weeks ago we started with a trip to Sea Life Great Yarmouth. Although we had been before a few times it had been quite some time especially with Covid meaning it had been closed for a while. This year at school Erin had been learning about sharks so she couldn’t wait to go back so she could see them again.

Hippodrome Summer Circus and Water Spectacular

AD | Press tickets Having lived in Norfolk for the past 8 years now I have always heard things about the Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth but never had the chance to go myself… until the other weekend. We were invited to see the Summer xCircus and Water Spectacular, which runs until 19th September 2021.

A family day out in Great Yarmouth

AD | Press tickets We’re so lucky to live in Norfolk as we have so many fun things to do so close by. Around an hour from where we live (by bus) is Great Yarmouth, a well known seaside town, which was recently featured on Channel 5’s ‘Susan Calman’s Grand Week By The Sea’. We recently visited for a family day out!

A wild and wonderful day out at Bewilderwood, Norfolk

We are lucky to have so many amazing places to have a day out here in Norfolk but as a non-driving family I always thought some of them were too hard for us to get to. This was what I thought about Bewilderwood Norfolk! We have been before but I think Erin was about 2 and we were only able to as we had someone drive there. This year we decided to figure it out though and we finally made it back for a day out. How to get there As I said, we don’t

Summer fun at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure

When it comes to half terms and school holidays if we ask Erin where she wants to go the most her answer is almost always Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure. It’s been a firm favourite since the first time we visited back when Erin had just turned 3 and I don’t think that’s going to change any time soon. We visited again during May half term (2020) to see what some of thew newer attractions were like!

Lambing weekends at Wroxham Barns

Last year, when lockdown was lifted, one of our first days out was to Wroxham Barns and we all had an absolute blast. It was one of the places that Erin was the most looking forward to going again so as soon as they released their tickets for the lambing weekends I decided to plan a day out. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, you do have to book and pay for a ticket online and choose a time slot for your arrival. You cannot just turn up on the day and most of the days
