Giving Jewellery As The Perfect Present

It’s my birthday in just under a week and I’ll be turning 32. I had to check that though because I’m terrible for forgetting how old I really am. I spent so many years lying about my age as a teenager to get into pubs years before I should have been in them so now it all gets a bit fuzzy. Anyway, it’s gotten me thinking about what I would really like for my birthday this year and jewellery is always a great option! For Christmas in 2016 Mum bought me a charm bracelet, something I have wanted for a

The Problem With A New Year’s Day Birthday

In some ways, Erin being born on New Year’s Day is something pretty amazing. When she’s older I can’t wait to let her stay up to watch the fireworks to celebrate her birthday and I can’t wait for that to be something really special that we can do together each year. However, there are loads of reasons why having a New Year’s Day birthday really sucks! We live in a small-ish town in North Norfolk and neither me or John drive. Although I cleared out some before we still needed a post Christmas toy cull! Erin received some wonderful toys as presents this year for both her birthday and Christmas and

How We Spent Erin’s Birthday

New Year’s Day is Erin’s Birthday and this year we decided not to do very much at all. Last year Erin had a fantastic farm themed birthday party and it was special but this year we wanted something different. Christmas was extremely busy as we had three family members staying so for Erin’s Birthday we thought it would be nice to have a quiet day with just me, John and Erin. As she had a hectic couple of weeks, Erin had been going to bed a bit later than normal and sleeping in until roughly 8am so she didn’t get up too

Christmas Day With The O’Hallorans

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are now relaxing a little bit to get over the madness! We had a wonderful family Christmas and was lucky enough to have my Mum, sister and BIL staying for a few days. It’s the first one we have all spent together in quite some time and even more special because Erin was so excited this year and really started to understand what was going on. Apart from Erin, we were all up at about 6:30 on Christmas Day and we had about an hour’s wait until she woke up. I
