A Short Break To Haven Seashore

Last month, before all the government advised against any travel that wasn’t essential, myself, Mum and Erin went to Haven Seashore in Great Yarmouth. We’d had the break booked for months having got a really good deal for a Monday to Friday stay for only about £70. With Erin starting school in September I knew that this would be my last opportunity to go away for my birthday unless it fell on a weekend. I couldn’t pass that up. Unfortunately, John had to work so he wasn’t able to join us. Arrival Day We visited Haven Seashore in 2019 so

Crazy Science At Center Parcs

Over the years we have been to Center Parcs a couple of times but Erin was always really too young for a lot of the activities. This year though during our visit in March she was 4 so able to do a lot more. While we were there my Mum booked Erin in for the Crazy Science session on the Thursday morning. The session lasts for 1 hour and you should be there 10 minutes before the start time. Crazy Science is in the activity den so it’s really easy to find. As we arrived at the activity den ready

Cupcake Decorating At Center Parcs

On our most recent trip to Center Parcs Erin was finally old enough to be able to do some of the great activities that are on offer. Due to a broken elbow that had just had a cast off we wanted to book something but nothing too boisterous. Cupcake Decorating sounded great, especially as baking was something that Erin had been doing a lot with her Grandma. This activity cost around £12 and lasted for 45 minutes, aimed at children between 3 and 7. Our class only had 2 children participating and was run by Elleigh. Each child gets 4

Visiting Centre Parcs In March

A couple of years ago I never thought I would be saying that Center Parcs is one of my favourite places to go on holiday. Honestly, it had never really appealed to me as I would have much preferred a city break. However, when we visited for the first time in 2017 I fell in love immediately and since then have now been back another few times. Our most recent visit was for a midweek break in March 2020. We had only ever been in October before this year so I wanted to write about how our holiday was different.

How To Plan Family Holidays When You Don’t Drive

Collaborative post Over the years we have been lucky enough to go on quite a few different kinds of holidays. We have been to lots of places such as a holiday to Majorca, a couple of days in Ipswich and even places like Center Parcs. However, we are a family of non-drivers and this can sometimes restrict where we can travel to and can cause issues when trying to book our holidays. Although things can sometimes be difficult we do always manage to go somewhere and have a fantastic time. Nor being able to drive doesn’t have to totally restrict where

The Adventures We Had In 2019

AD | Contains some gifted trips and days out I love nothing more than a day out, weekend away or a holiday. Although money has been tight for the past few years I have tried to make sure that we budget and save to ensure that Erin gets these experiences. I never did nearly as much when I was a child and I want Erin to have adventures and to discover new places. We were very lucky to have some great experiences in 2019. January Like a lot of people we had a very quiet January. With Christmas and Erin’s

Discovering Stoke-on-Trent At Christmastime

AD | Press Trip Earlier this month I had a very last minute opportunity to go on a press trip to discover Stoke-on-Trent at Christmastime. Deciding to say yes at around lunchtime and leaving at 7pm the same day was a bit manic, especially as it meant being away when my Mum moved in. The lovely Sarah from Boo Roo and Tigger Too who also lives in Norfolk came to pick me up before making the journey up to Stoke. The drive may have been long but we had such a giggle in the car and before I knew it
