AD | Includes gifted experiences At the beginning of December I went for a very rare weekend away to London. I say it was rare because I went with my Mum instead of with John and Erin. I wanted to give her a treat before Christmas and I also had some vouchers for a previous collaboration t use up. Up until now, I haven’t been able to spend much time with Mum on her own because of Erin so I thought a little getaway would be a great idea. Unfortunately, my journey did not start off well. Thanks to horrendous
AD | Paid collaboration Last year we went on our first holiday abroad as a family. For something like this there was quite a lot of research involved as I wanted to make it really special and to make sure there was something for all of us. Our needs as a family of three were really quite simple though. All we wanted was some sun, a pool and good food but picking something without really knowing what to look for is hard. We finally decided on Puerto Pollensa in Majorca and we had such an amazing time and we thought
AD | Gifted item Usually when I go on a trip away anywhere it’s with John and Erin. As Erin still gets so tired and definitely can’t do a full day of walking this means we always have the pushchair with us. I don’t have to worry about carrying luggage or bags as either the pushchair holds it or John carries anything else. However, last weekend I went on a trip to London with my Mum and that meant needing to carry anything I needed for a couple of days. I have been to London before on my own and
AD | Gifted experience My Mum has done a lot for us over the years and this year I wanted to do something really special for her close to Christmas. When she comes to visit most of the time is taken up by Erin and we don’t get a lot of time for just us any more. So, along with a hotel stay, I sorted out a visit to the theatre and out for a meal while we were in London. Being such a big fan of experience vouchers I arranged this with a Days Out Together gift box from Red
AD | Collaborative post. The spending money was gifted by Hotels.com, but all views are my own. As a way to celebrate Christmas a bit early, last weekend I headed to London with my Mum for some quality time together and festive fun. While we had plans on the Saturday we had the whole of Sunday free to explore and do whatever we wanted. Having been to London quite a few times over the years, there are things that I tend to do each time, and favourite places I always go to. However, an area that neither of us had
When Erin was maybe just over a year old we went on a last minute trip to Cambridge. We didn’t have the largest amount of time but we had a great visit and we’d said we would love to go back when Erin was a bit older. Now that Erin is nearly 4 we thought we would be in a better position to explore the city a bit more and to do more while we were there. This time, we managed to book our trip for John’s birthday so it was a great time to go away. Monday We have
AD | Gifted stay Up until recently I will hold my hands up and admit that I was a bit of a snob when it came to travelling and where we stayed. A couple of years ago if you’d have asked me to stay in a caravan or a hotel I probably would have laughed at you. However, I’ve really become more open minded about staying in different kinds of accommodation that aren’t just a hotel room with a private bathroom. I want Erin to experience all different kinds of travel so on a recent trip we stayed at YHA
I think it was a couple of years ago now that we received a really beautiful glass keepsake box from Maria Allen to include in a Christmas gift guide. At the time, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do with it but after a little bit of thinking I decided that I would fill it with postcards for Erin. I don’t have a lot from my childhood. I have a small selection of photographs of me as a child and from a few days out with family, as well as having some old photos of some family members.
