All grandmothers are wonderful and the gran in this story is no exception. She might not lift buildings or go whooshing through the sky, but she can plan super sleepovers, tell super-funny stories and even put together super disguises. This gran really does have super powers!

You might have seen that my Mum moved in with us just before Christmas. Erin is so happy to have her Grandma living with us so I knew as soon as I saw this book that it would be a great one for them to read together.

The story is set in Gran’s house, where her two grandchildren go for the day. Gran’s house is full of exciting things to do, spaces to explore and great games to play. Superhero Gran is all about the fantastic things that Grandma’s might be able to do and what makes them so great.

This is such a fun book and the illustrations really stand out. The whole book is bright, colourful and fun and there’s lots to see on each page. Now that we’ve read it a few times we’ve noticed more things each time.

We also loved reading about the different things that Gran and her Grandchildren got up to and how much fun they had together. Erin and her Grandma get up to all sorts together so not only was it nice to see some of these but to also get some new ideas.

Superhero Gran would make such a nice gift for Mother’s Day, which isn’t that far away, or for a Grandma’s birthday. There are other books in this series too so be sure to look out for them.
