Father’s Day is just around the corner and that means we’re nearly half way through the year. Hasn’t that gone fast!? I wanted to share a selection of lovely gift ideas for this Father’s Day in a range of budgets so there is something for everyone to consider.
You might want to buy a gift this year that will allow the person to choose something themselves. Red Letter Days is a great place to buy gift vouchers such as the Amazing Adventures Gift Boxes, where you can choose from over 600 experiences for up to 2 people. This allows the recipient to choose something that they really want to do and as the voucher is valid for 24 months, there’s no rush to book either.
If you are looking to buy a gift for a gaming dad this year then consider some amazing accessories from Gioteck. The Gioteck TX70 Wireless headset is fantastic for playing online games with others and it’s suitable for the PS4, PS5 and PC. Another great product is the Gioteck AC2, which allows you to continue playing whilst also charging your controller wirelessly at the same time. These are available for XBOX series and PS5.
Does the dad you’re buying for this year like a drink? The Oxford Rye Organic Vodka is a smooth and creamy spirit, ideal as a sipping vodka either on the rocks or at room temperature. This vodka comes from the Oxford Artisan Distillery and has no pesticides, fungicides or herbicides.
You can’t beat a personalised gift for Father’s Day and ASDA photo has so many great options. I think these kinds of personalised gifts are a great idea to give from the children and you can add your favourite family photos to the products. You might want to put together a lovely photo book, make a personalised mouse mat or even a mug if the person you’re buying for loves their tea or coffee!
John loves a pun and you can bet that there won’t be a day that goes by without us hearing at least 1 or 2. The Tea-Riffic T-Rex Mug from Our Name Is Mud is so much fun and holds 16oz. What’s not to love about a dinosaur themed mug? Just make sure your kids don’t try to steal it!
Growing up I remember everyone always getting some kind of ‘smellies’ as a gift no matter what the occasion was and that seems to be something I’ve carried on with my own family. If you’re looking for something like that to give as a gift then the Lynx Black washbag gift set would be a great choice this Father’s Day.
This wash bag includes three full sized products: Black Body Spray 150ml, Black Body Wash 250ml, and Black Antiperspirant 150ml all contained in a stylish two-tone washbag. Available nationwide at Amazon and Wilko.
As a family we are starting to go off on more adventures now that restrictions are easing but this means needing a few new things. Bags are a must when going on days out or trips away and Trendhim have a really fantastic selection to choose from. They have everything from laptop bags to shoulder bags to holdalls.
For Potterheads (Harry Potter fans if you don’t already know) there are so many great options for Father’s Day gifts. A really good choice for collectibles are the fun Charm collectibles from Gift Giving All Wrapped Up. There are lots of different characters ton collect including McGonagall, Sirius and Hedwig.
Another amazing Father’s Day gift for Harry Potter fans are these stunning Harry Potter bookends from Gift Giving All Wrapped Up. The bookends are perfect for someone with the whole book collection and they will really add that something extra special to a bookshelf, with them showing Harry making the transition through platform 9 3/4.
Sometimes I find it really hard to find small gifts for Father’s Day. Kikkerland have some really fun ideas in small packages, such as the Bike Repair Kit Tin (available at Trouva) or the Gentleman’s Beard Tin (available from Amazon. Both sets are really useful and because they’re small, it means you can take them anywhere with you easily.
Whether it be for coffee, tea or even milk, Jim the Mug Monster from Red Candy is a great mug to give as a gift. It comes in different colours (with different names) and there is space for a cookie at the bottom. It’s such a cute idea but make sure you take the cookie out before drinking… or it will fall out!
Need something to go in a new mug? Black Insomnia, which is 4x stronger than the average coffee is known as the world’s strongest coffee. It comes in various options such as pods, ground coffee, and coffee beans so there is something to suit most people’s needs. You’ll certainly get a kick from one cup of this coffee!
Novelty gifts are really lovely for occasions such as Father’s Day and sometimes, these make the best presents especially from younger children. We love this Laughing Emoji trophy from North East Trophies, which we’ve had personalised with ‘Funniest Dad’. There are other options available and you can personalise to suit your own needs.
I don’t think you can ever go wrong with toiletries for Father’s Day. ARRAN Sense of Scotland have a wonderful Men’s Collection to choose from. If you’re not sure what to go for then you can always use their Fragrance Finder to help you out but we really like the bath and shower gel in the Lochranza and Machrie fragrances!
Personally, I don’t think you can beat getting a nice pair of socks for Father’s Day; it’s a bit of a tradition in our house. This year we’re doing socks with a bit of a difference though, with these anti-odour socks from Copper Clothing. With the copper infused fabrics, feet will be fresher and drier meaning less opportunity for smelly feet! Copper Clothing also have lots of other items such as gloves and pyjamas.
As long as the weather behaves, it’s a nice idea to be able to go out as a family on Father’s Day. Treasure Trails offer outdoor adventures in your local area, meaning they’re COVID friendly and can be done at time you want. There are loads of destinations to choose from on the website and it’s a great way to get out and explore either where you live or somewhere you’re going for a day out.
Sometimes, the simple things are what you need on Father’s Day and that could be spending the day at home and playing games. The Tree Families is a game suitable for the whole family, needing 2-5 players. It’s based on the well-known game Happy Families and you can learn about trees while you play in the booklet written by Tony Kirkham.
