In a few weeks we will be heading off to Majorca for our first family holiday abroad. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am right now. I am usually a really prepared person but I have sort of felt out of my depth preparing for this holiday. I never really thought about a lot of important things like changing what Erin might wear while swimming or at the beach. Luckily, we had a bit of help from Simply Swim and their Splash About collection.
We have been buying Splash About products for Erin since she was about 8 or 10 weeks old when she first started swimming lessons. Back then as a preemie baby Erin really felt the cold so Splash About’s Warm In One really protected her and meant that she could enjoy being in the water. Since then, we have been loyal fans and it’s always my go to brand now for Erin’s swimwear.
Although we are not going to Majorca at the hottest time of year, it will still be warm and Erin is only 2; she needs protecting from the sun still. Erin will be in and out of the pool as well as playing at the beach and the splash park. We are on holiday for 7 nights so we needed a couple of options so that one could dry out while the other is being used.
After quite a lot of looking, because Splash About have a great range of products and prints we finally went with the Sun and sea suit with gecko design (£24.99) and the Shortie wetsuit in pink (£29.99).
The reason I chose both of these suits is because they cover a lot of the body. Having checked the weather forecast, we are due a week of sun at the moment with temperatures around 18°. Unless she naps, I know Erin will want to be out playing and having fun as much as possible and these suits are a great way to help protect her skin as they have UPF 50+ sun protection.
Not only will Erin’s skin be protected with the help of sun screen as well but she will also be warm if the pool or the sea is a bit chilly. Each of the swimsuits have a high neck with both long arms and legs. I ordered both in size 2-4 years so they are both slightly too big on Erin at the moment with her being short for her age. However, they still fit her well enough to wear comfortably without being too big. Also, I know that both of these swimsuits are going to last her quite a long time which makes them great value for money. I know £25-£30 is more than some people want to spend on their children’s swimwear but I think it’s worth every penny.
I know that Splash About swimwear is really good quality and I know that Erin is going to be comfortable, warm and protected while we’re on holiday!
