Are you a family who enjoy playing with Nerf guns? While they can be used indoors, they are also fantastic for using in the garden and can really encourage children (and adults) to get some fresh air and to run around a bit and be active. If you’re looking for ways to extend your play then accessories such as the Nerf BUNKR Caution Crate and the Nerf BUNKR Toxic Barrel can be a great addition.
To start with, it has to be said that the Nerf BUNKR Caution Crate and Nerf BUNKR Toxic Barrel do not come with Nerf guns so you’ll either need to have some at home already or order some at the same time. We have two of the Nerf Elite 2.0 Commander RD-6 Blasters and I also bought the Nerf 2.0 refill pack of 50 at the same time. With anything like this, although you get some darts with the guns, they’re bound to go missing so having extras handy is a good idea.
The Nerf BUNKR Toxic Barrel and Caution Crate are two different products so they need to be purchased separately. There are also other accessories that are similar available, each costing varying amounts. They each come in small barrels and need inflating before you can use them.
These accessories can be used either indoors or outdoors however, if you wish to use them outdoors they need a bit more preparation. At the bottom of each there is a separate area which needs to be filled with water, before you inflate the rest. To inflate you’ll need an electric pump with a suitable sized nozzle. You can also use a manual pump but it might take some time.
The Nerf BUNKR Toxic Barrel and Caution Crate are great sizes but not too big. Erin is 5 and they’re just right for her although they would still be fine for older children as well. Placed around the garden, we now have some great places to hide and even some obstacles to slow each other down. The definitely make a game much more interesting and a whole lot more fun as well.
A great little extra to both products is in the top. There is a shallow space where you can put extra darts, making it possible to restock and reload if you run out. Of course, being able to hide while doing this is a big bonus as you may not be able to if you’re out in the open.
If you’re looking to add something different to your Nerf play then definitely consider these. You can buy multiples if you have a big garden or maybe want to make forts to hide behind.
