What We’ve Been Watching is a monthly feature where we talk about everything we’ve been watching over the past month. It might be something on Netflix, Sky or even just a DVD we’ve had for years but wanted to watch again. If we’ve been watching something new we’ll talk about that too!
Celebrity Big Brother
Shows like Big Brother are certainly not for everybody and I don’t actually watch it most years. However, every year I watch the opening show to see who is going in the ‘celebrity’ version. This year I thought the line up looked fantastic and there was some really interesting people going in there. I had a few favourites from the very beginning including Shane J/ Courtney Act. We’re big Ru Paul fans and I loved seeing what Courtney wore on eviction nights. She has got some pretty impressive hair! I also really love the friendship between Shane and Andrew. I think this series has been really great and it will be a shame if the next one isn’t as good or the show actually gets cancelled as there are rumours flying about at the moment.
Ru Paul’s Drag Race Season 6
With Courtney Act being in Big Brother I thought it was time to watch season 6 of Ru Paul’s Drag Race. I picked my favourite from the start, which wasn’t actually Courtney even though I was routing for her too. I loved Trinity K. Bonet and was so sad when she got sent home! While I think I would have preferred someone else to win, the winner did deserve it at the same time. All Stars 3 has started now as well so I’ll be watching that next month.
It’s actually quite a quiet month for television and we haven’t really watched much else. Hopefully next month we can start something new and watch a few more films.
