What We’ve Been Watching: April 2018

What We’ve Been Watching is a monthly feature where we talk about everything we’ve been watching over the past month. It might be something on Netflix, Sky or even just a DVD we’ve had for years but wanted to watch again. If we’ve been watching something new we’ll talk about that too!

Grey’s Anatomy

Yes, I’m still watching Grey’s Anatomy. I’m not quite as far ahead as I thought I would be by now as I’m only half way through season 3. Being away for 11 days of the month has meant not watching nearly as much as I would have done otherwise but it’s time to get watching again next month and hopefully, I can get season 4 finished!

The Resident

Looks like I’m a sucker for a medical drama. I’d already had this one set to record and had planned on waiting a while to watch it. Then, I saw loads of people on Facebook mention how good it was and I just couldn’t wait after that. I was glad I didn’t as well because it was great! The Resident is completely different to Grey’s Anatomy but it did have me gasping in shock a couple of times and I have also been seriously grossed out too!

Atomic Blonde

My sister’s fiance brought this for me to watch AGGGGES ago and since then it’s been sat underneath my TV and didn’t move. Just before we went away I was all caught up with everything I had nothing else to watch so popped this on. I really didn’t know what to expect, or what it was really about but I really loved it. Charlize Theron was pretty awesome and the whole film is shot so well. Also, it has the best soundtrack which I was quite surprised about.

The Greatest Showman

So this month I went to the cinema for the first time since Erin was born. Actually, I think it was quite some time before Erin was born when I last went to see something for me (Paw Patrol last year does not count). I had a very rare child free day in Norwich and so I spent a couple of hours watching The Greatest Showman. Within less than 2 minutes I was hooked and was tapping my foot away happily to the music. I might not have seen many new films over the past 3 years but this was definitely a favourite and I’ll be buying it on DVD as soon as it’s out I think.

I have been so busy this month because of going on holiday so I really haven’t watched as much as I would in a normal month.
