Hoover Freejet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Review

Hoover Freejet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

At the moment we have a 2 vacuum cleaners and we keep 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs. Our upstairs vacuum cleaner is a bagged model and it’s really heavy and bulky so I’ve been looking to replace it for some time now. AO.com recently sent us the Hoover Freejet FE18AG Cordless Vacuum Cleaner.

When this was delivered I was really surprised at how light and small the box was. Every other vacuum cleaner I have ever had has come in a really bulky and heavy box but not this one. As I unpacked the box I was even more shocked. There was only 3 things inside it; the brush, the main unit and the plug!

Putting the Hoover Freejet FE18AG Cordless Vacuum Cleaner was incredibly simple and took a matter of seconds. The main unit clicks into the brush and the handle, which is folded down, opens up and that’s all it took. However, as this is a cordless vacuum cleaner it does need charging before use and this is supposed to be done for a massive 24 hours. Usually I don’t listen to these instructions but I did this time as I wanted to make sure the battery was as good as it could possibly be.

As soon as the vacuum is charged up enough the colour of the light on the front will change from red to blue so you can clearly see that it is ready to use. Once fully charged the battery can last for up to 30 minutes which should be plenty long enough to clean a whole house.

One of the amazing things about this vacuum cleaner is that it comes with a handheld option. I didn’t realise this until I was putting it together but what a great thing to have.

The Hoover Freejet FE18AG Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has some wondreful little extras like integrated tools which can be found on the back of the machine. There is a crevice tool and a dusting/ upholstery brush for more delicate areas that you don’t want to damage. These can be attached to the handheld part of the vacuum cleaner once removed from the main body.

Another feature that stood out to me is the ‘easy brush removal’ tab on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner. It doesn’t matter what I do but my hair falls out all over the place and clogs up the brush on vacuum cleaners. Being able to get to this easily to clean it is a big plus for me because I hate trying to figure out how to get the brush on and off.

The Hoover Freejet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is a lightweight option for when you don’t need something for big cleaning tasks. As this is going to be used as our upstairs vacuum cleaner it will do a great job of keeping on top of the dust and I won’t have to drag around something really heavy for small areas that don’t need it.
