Harry Potter Magical Capsules Review

Harry Potter Magical Capsules

AD | Gifted item

We have a few big Harry Potter fans in our house. John read the books when they first came out, my Mum has read the books more than once and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was the first film I think I remember Erin being interested in. We have multiple sets of the books with various covers, we have the DVDs and we have Harry Potter Lego. Erin even has a Harry Potter costume. So, when we found out about Harry Potter Magical Capsules I couldn’t wait to see what they were all about.

Discover the magic of Harry Potter with the newest collectable for the Wizarding World. Each bronze Hogwart’s Crest contains one of our favourite characters from the Harry Potter series. Series 1 features 10 characters to collect with these listed on the handy collector card.

Each crest contains two clues to the character inside.

Open compartment number 1 to reveal a heat reveal Hogwart’s Crest. Which House could your character be in?

Open compartment number 2 to reveal a spell name. I can’t see it…its written in secret ink and will only be revealed when you dip the paper in water!

So you know the Hogwart’s House and the spell name….real Harry Potter fans will know who is hidden inside the crest….

Open it up to reveal 4 wrapped parcels…save the biggest till last…to finally know which character you’ve got!

Each character comes with 3 accessories and 2 clues!

Erin couldn’t wait to rip off the packaging to see what’s inside. Being only 4, she needed a bit of help to figure out which compartment needed to be opened first and what to do with some of the pieces inside. In compartment 1 we were given the clue of the Hogwarts houses. You have to flip over a small piece of card and press down with your finger so the heat reveals which house your character is in. We got Gryffindor. The next clue comes in the form of a spell. Ours had a little water symbol on so Erin ran off to get a little pot of water. We rubbed it over the spell to reveal the word ‘Expelliarmus’.

Inside the larger compartment you get 5 different bags, each containing an accessory and then the main character. Again, Erin needed some help to make sure she didn’t open the bigger packet first because otherwise she would have ripped straight into it. The accessories were great; we got a suitcase, a wand, an animal and a little letter addressed to someone! From this point, Erin definitely knew who the character in the last bag would be.

Erin was so happy that we got Harry Potter! He’s definitely her favourite and she couldn’t wait to be able to play with him. Harry can actually hold the wand which was a nice touch. Speaking of the wand, it is really quite tiny so it’s something to be very careful with otherwise it would be pretty easy to lose. I don’t think ours will last very long before it gets misplaced or dropped somewhere.

Overall, the Harry Potter Magical Capsules are great for any fan. Erin had a great time opening each compartment and bag to find out what she would get next. You do get a checklist inside too so you can see which other characters there are to collect. Of course, Erin wants them all now!
