We've been going to @havenofficial for about 8 yea We've been going to @havenofficial for about 8 years now, so there's a lot of the activities that Erin has done before.

On our most recent visit to Wild Duck, we gave shooting a go. I'd already done this before but now that Erin's 10, she was able to join in.

The guns are quite heavy, and it's a fair bit of work being able to load them and get them ready. Erin struggled a little bit with this but I was on hand to help her out when she needed it.

While this wasn't Erin's favourite activity at Haven, I was so proud of her for trying and really giving it her all.
Erin is horse mad so when we were on holiday at @h Erin is horse mad so when we were on holiday at @havenofficial Wild Duck, we just had to go to @redwingsuk.

The Caldecott site is only 10 minutes away and it's free, although donations are very welcome.

This is such a lovely place to spend an hour or two, wandering around and making friends with the horses.

Erin's adopted horse Fox is at Caldecott, so we obviously had to find him to say hi.

So many of the horses are friendly and love to say hello!

There's a cafe and toilets on site, so a great place to go as a family.
Desperate for a leisurely lunch and to sit somewhe Desperate for a leisurely lunch and to sit somewhere inside, we chose to eat at Adventure Point Pizza & Pasta buffet during our trip to Chessington. Being a really hot day, there was a bit of a queue before we could get a table but we didn't wait too long.

You have to pay before you get into the restaurant with adults costing £23.25 and children £13.25. Included with this is unlimited pizza, pasta, salad and soft drinks.

Plates and cups are already at the tables when you get seated, so you can go up straight away to grab some food.

There was quite a lot to choose from, which was a nice surprise. There's a mix of pizzas, from plain cheese to pepperoni as well as meaty options and vegetarian. There was at least 3 of each option under the hot plate each time we went up and nothing was ever empty. The pizza was okay, but really quite average. Those with toppings were much better than the plainer options as the margherita barely even had any cheese on it.

Other options are tomato based pastas and a salad bar. Erin had some pasta bolognese and said it was really nice but we didn't bother with the salad bar.

Now onto the drinks, which was one of the main reasons we chose to eat here. On a hot day we couldn't wait to have unlimited drinks, so we could rehydrate before heading back to the rides. After one drink though we ended up buying a couple of cans of coke instead. The soft drinks available were 3 different kinds of juice but they were disgusting. Erin will drink nearly anything and she had 1 sip and refused to have any more. They were that bad.

For £36.50 the food wasn't bad value, compared to other options in the park. However, the drinks really let this down and meant we ended up spending more than we had planned. Would I recommend this one? No, not really.
Since going to Florida a few years ago, Erin has b Since going to Florida a few years ago, Erin has been a huge Star Wars fan, but had never been to the cinema to see one of the films.

The Mandalorian and Grogu was released a couple of days ago and we obviously had to go and see it. @vue at @castlequarter_ had loads of showings over opening weekend so getting a good seat wasn't a problem. Erin would have loved to get one of the themed popcorn buckets but for £25, it wasn't going to happen.

We loved the film though! There's a bit of everything you'd expect from a Star Wars film; great action scenes, fun new characters, cute scenes with Grogu and a great soundtrack. Me and Erin held hands through a bit of the tense bits, but laughed so much as well!
You can't go to Belgium and not have frites, can y You can't go to Belgium and not have frites, can you?

This is a great choice for something quick, budget friendly and with lots of places to grab something. I was lucky to find an empty street where I could enjoy these in peace, while getting a break from all of the walking.

The question though, is do you have traditional mayo, or something else?
What a whirlwind of a trip! Bruges is such a beau What a whirlwind of a trip!

Bruges is such a beautiful city and it's a great option if you need to pack in quite a bit in a short space of time. Here are my recommendations:

🍫 Wander into all the chocolate shops "just for a look" but hope there might be a free sample or two.

🚤 Do one of the canal boat trips (around €15-ish). Not free, but seeing Bruges from the water is an absolute must.

🚶 Forget the map and just wander. Bruges is one of those places where there are so many hidden gems, and I found loads just by walking around.

🦢 Head to Minnewater (Lake of Love) and spot the swans.

⛪ Pop into the Basilica of the Holy Blood. This one is free to go in, but donations are welcome.

📸 Take approximately 473 photos in Market Square because every angle somehow looks postcard-worthy. (I didn't quite make it 473, but I did take a lot!)

🌳 Find a bench in Queen Astrid Park and have a sit down. It's such a beautiful area and you'll definitely need a rest.

🍟 Skip the expensive lunch and grab Belgian chips instead. If you leave Bruges without chips, did you even go?

🧇 Grab a Belgian waffle because there are some things you simply can't skip. Waffles were a big reason I went on this trip.

🏰 Have a wander around Burg Square and admire the ridiculously pretty buildings.

🛍️ Window shop your way around the little side streets. This is how I ended finding some great hidden areas.
When I booked an EDT to Bruges by coach, I had no When I booked an EDT to Bruges by coach, I had no idea what I was doing. I got on that coach at 3am without a plan, or even really knowing what was going on.

The great thing about going on a coach is being able to leave things on there! This is so important because it means you can sleep on the coach, or take loads of snacks and drinks and not have to carry them around.

The coach will drop you about 20 minutes from the centre, and you'll get some beautiful views so it's worth the walk.

Bruges can get really busy, and it's important to not to try to pack too much in. I only had 5 hours and definitely should have rested more and had more to drink!

Would I do it again? Absolutely.

Every year over the early May Bank Holiday is Nort Every year over the early May Bank Holiday is North Walsham Children's Day.

The church yard is filled with stalls and fun games, animals to meet, and live music. There's also plenty of food options and lots of places in town open extra for the bank holiday.

Although we didn't visit for long this year, we always try even for a little bit.
One of the best things about living in Norfolk is One of the best things about living in Norfolk is the beaches, and we have so many great ones to choose from. Now that we rely on public transport again though, some beaches are a bit harder to get to.

Time and weather depending, me and Erin love getting the bus to Overstand and walking along the beach all the way to Cromer. The walk takes around an hour if you don't stop too much but it ends up taking us a bit longer than that normally.

It's a nice flat stretch of beach so quite easy to walk on, aside from a few areas where you'll need to pass on the stones. There's usually quite a few day walkers on this bit of beach, which is something Erin always looks forward to. Who doesn't love making friends with a dog?

Ending in Cromer means we have the option of both the bus and the train to get home, and there's loads of options if we want to get lunch somewhere first.
Wing Stop opened a while ago in Norwich but it's t Wing Stop opened a while ago in Norwich but it's taken us ages to find a time to go and try it.

Unsure of what to order, me and Erin decided to play it as safe as possible. We chose chicken strips (plain), boneless wings (BBQ) and sides of fries and sweet potato fries, along with 2 refillable drinks. This came to around £30, but afterwards we realised we could have done it differently and saved a little bit of money.

Wing Stop have 12 different options when it comes to flavours, from plain, to BBQ to the hottest which is 'Atomic'. Although we chose BBQ for our boneless wings, this is 4th up the heat ladder of flavours, meaning it still has a bit of a kick to it. We weren't expecting that but actually, the flavour was really nice and it's one I'd definitely get again.

Erin did try the boneless wings but much preferred the chicken tenders. 5 was a bit too much but we'd planned on sharing so I think next time we'd just get 3 of these.

Now that we've been once, I'm keen to try a couple of the other flavours but maybe not the hot ones!
We've just had our first @parkdeanresorts stay at We've just had our first @parkdeanresorts stay at Vauxhall Holiday Park and were blown away by the activities on offer. Instead of feeling like they were aimed at young children, or just children in general, there was something for everyone here.

We tried to book a bit of a variety during our stay including High Ropes, Hoverboards and Clip 'n Climb. These were on the more expensive side of the activities we booked, costing £15, £11 and £11 for those mentioned. Erin enjoyed each of them thoroughly though, and the instructors were fantastic when she needed a bit of extra help or encouragement.

Although there isn't much you can do for free, there is a park and you can go swimming. I booked our swimming slots online before our break, which I would advise, but you don't have to. Parkdean holds back some slots for walk-ins for each session however, there was always a huge queue outside for this.

What we really enjoyed the most was doing things as a family this time. The Fairground themed indoor golf was such good fun and won't break the bank at £8 for adults and £5 for children.

Also in Hat Tricks sports bar is interactive darts and shuffleboard. These cost £20 per hour but multiple people can play so it really works out at good value for money. We gave both of these a go, as well as having a few games of pool while we were waiting for other things.

Having been to a number of holiday parks in our time, this one had the best activities by far because there's more for us all to do together.
When I'm on holiday, even in a holiday park, I hat When I'm on holiday, even in a holiday park, I hate to cook. I know self-catering brings the costs down but I want to not have to think about that too much. @parkdeanresorts Vauxhall Holiday Park has some fantastic food options and we loved trying them out.

To make things as easy as possible, you can order from multiple locations on the app, and have food delivered to your accommodation or a table in Hat Tricks or the entertainment venue. Hat Tricks even has a board you can order on too!

We honestly had no complaints about any of the food we had during our stay, and we tried a bit of everything. We loved the ice cream, bubble waffles and crepes so much from Scoops that we went back most days to try something else.

The only negative I really have is that you're not really able to customise food on the app. We're a bunch of fussier eaters so not being able to order, say, a plain burger, meant we couldn't really use the app. If there was a way around this, I couldn't figure it out.
