We headed to @wagamama for a girly lunch and decid

We headed to @wagamama for a girly lunch and decided to try a few different things from the kids’ menu.

We had a kids bento box each, plus a kids chicken ramen to share so we could all have a taste and see which one was our favourite.

I love that Wagamama’s kids menu gives them the chance to try something a little different, rather than just the usual kids’ meals. And the ramen was definitely a hit!

No one seemed to care that I had the bento box either. The adult meals are a bit too much for me and it was fun to have the same as Erin.

It was such a lovely, relaxed lunch and a great way to end the summer holidays this year.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly place to eat where the kids can try something a bit different, Wagamama is definitely worth a visit.

AD | Looking for a night out for the whole family? We saw @tyftmshow at @britannia_pier_theatre_gy and had the best time!

We absolutely love ABBA and what a tribute act this was. The energy was amazing from start to finish, with all the ABBA favourites you’d hope for, and we were singing along to every single one!

It was such a fun night out and I love that it’s something the whole family can enjoy together. Erin absolutely loved it too, which makes it even better!

If you love ABBA, this is definitely one to add to your summer plans. They have tour dates going into 2027!

AD | We might have been to @gypbeach loads of time

AD | We might have been to @gypbeach loads of times, but that doesn't mean it's always the same. Yesterday we headed down for Mural Jam by @reprezentproject, where over 65 artists came together to make the Great Yarmouth South Beach walls somewhere worth visiting!

Erin and I took a walk down at around 11am, where many of the artists were just starting out. It was interesting to see how differently people did things, with some looking like paint by numbers, some going completely freehand and some using pre-prepared pictures to work from.

We then headed into the Pleasure Beach for a few hours, making sure we got on our favourite rides. The big blue one is always going to be my favourite but Erin's changes depending on what mood she is in. It was so nice to spend a few hours in the sun, not having to wait too long to get on rides, and just wander round at our own pace.

Before heading home we went back to Mural Jam to see how to walls were coming on. Blown away is an understatement. I can barely draw a stickman so to see these creations was just incredible. We spent some time chatting with some of the artists and discussing which were our favourites.

Ever been to Centre Parcs and spent a fortune on activities? At @PottersResorts you can do as many activities as you like and they're included in the price of your break.

When you check in you receive a schedule covering your entire break, with times of all of the activities that you can take part in. You'll see so many people sat in the bars on arrival day with a highlighter going through and picking out what they want to do over the next few days.

What I love about the activities here is that there really is something for everyone. If you love being sporty then there's badminton, wall climbing, segways and archery (just to name a few) but there's also more relaxing things to do like quizzes, yoga and arts and crafts.

You don't have to book for most of the activities (aside from some of the sports) and can turn up during the time they run. There can be small queues while you're waiting for a turn but we've never waited more than 20 minutes to do anything.

There's an indoor swimming pool on site too, with a sauna and hot tub. Again, you don't have to book and can swim for as long as you like. I'm a big fan of relaxing in the hot tub while Erin swims, and I can see right where she is the whole time.

There's live entertainment throughout the day with live singers, and shows in the theatre on an evening. The shows are west-end quality too and you'll be blown away by these.

At Potters you can make your break as busy or relaxing as you like, and you only take part in what you want. I like to be on the more chilled side of things while Erin tends to throw herself into the sporty activities.

One of the things we look forward to the most is the food and drink at @pottersresort in Hopton-on-Sea, where you get an all inclusive break!

With breakfast, lunch and dinner included, as well as late night snacks, you definitely won't go hungry on this break. I love that you keep the same table in the restaurant for your entire break, as well as the same server.

At breakfast you'll be able to choose from a cooked buffet, made to order omelettes as well as pastries, fruit and cereals.

Lunch has a great salad buffet as well as a menu to choose from and daily jacket potatoes.

Dinner has a larger menu to choose from, as well as a hot buffet which always has some kind of carvery/ roast dinner option.

Although there is a children's menu and buffet options, kids can eat whatever they want. Erin loved having so many options this time around, and generally chose something from the regular menu. Knowing she could have what she wanted, this also encouraged her (and me) to try new things.

The food is fantastic too, and there was nothing we had that we didn't like. The variety means that there's always something for everyone, even if you have pickier eaters with you.

Drinks are included in your break too, with a range of soft drinks, hot drinks and alcoholic options. This is the part of the break that I really love. It's not the alcohol, because I hardly ever drink, but that we can stop for a sit down and a break with a drink whenever we want.

Erin worked her way through the summer drinks, with fruity options like mocktails. I enjoyed being able to have whatever I wanted, including a couple of proseccos at dinner. You can take drinks around the resort too, so you're not stuck in whatever bar you've ordered from.

As you can see, the value in the food and drink at Potters is there, and a big selling point for us.

Looking to book a break at @pottersresort in Hopton but not sure what accommodation to choose? Take a look around Bungalow Plus!

This particular room was L33, which was directly opposite the swimming pool but we have stayed in others at the back of the resort before, when we needed 2 rooms joined together. If you have a preference, you can pay extra to choose where you stay,

Erin and I had a twin room (although she would have been happy to share a bed), which was really nice and spacious. Not only are there beds both with bedside tables and a little shelf above, but there are a few different seating areas. Erin had space to draw at a small table, there was a chair near the fridge and kettle, and another dressing table to get ready at.

What might seem like it could be cramped before you get in there, these rooms have so much space, and storage. We actually had way more room than we needed and we didn't even use some of the drawers.

The bathroom is also a better size than you'd get in a hotel. I appreciate when there is a bath and a (powerful) shower, along with great toiletries. The windowsill provides lots of storage space and it means you're able to grab everything easily.

None of the accommodation at Potters is bad, but we like the little extras like the additional fridge, more modern decor and having an iron/ ironing board handy if we need to use it. This one costs a little extra than a standard Bungalow but the fridge alone is worth it.

I hate having to say no when I'm on holiday but at @pottersresort I don't have to! This UK all-inclusive resort in Norfolk is our go to holiday when we want to know that everything's included.

From the minute you arrive, you feel welcomed and part of somewhere really special. The fact that you get an activities schedule at check in really shows just how much there is to do here. Whether you want to play shuffleboard, give a dance class a go or take part in a quiz, there's something for everyone... and it's all included.

You won't go hungry at Potters either, as 3 meals a day and late night snacks are included with your break. You keep the same table in the restaurant all week as well as the same server. You'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to the food, with menus and buffets available at each meal. There's always a roast dinner option for the evening meal and a children's menu although they can eat from the adult's menu if they want.

A break for me and Erin cost a little less (with extras such as welcome lunch and early check-in) than a 4 night break at Centre Parcs would cost just for the lodge alone and we didn't have to pay for anything extra while we were there.

There's a reason we've been here multiple times, and will carry on visiting when we can.

AD | Heading to Great Yarmouth but want something other than traditional fish and chips? @sarastearooms.gy is the place to be!

You'll find this absolutely stunning place in the Pleasure Beach Gardens, and you can't miss it because it's surrounded by so many beautiful flowers. With both inside and outside seating, you can choose where you like and it's great that there are options depending on the weather.

The menu has something for everyone (even dogs), with breakfasts, full lunches or light bites like sandwiches on offer. Spoiled for choice, we finally decided on a traditional breakfast, cheesy smash burger and chicken tenders.

Not only was the food delicious (Erin declared the burger the best she's ever had) but really good value for money too. 3 drinks and 3 meals came to around £50. The portions were really generous too.

Sara herself bakes the cakes herself and they are delicious! We had a variety between us, all digging into each others cakes as we tried to decide which was the best. In the end, we couldn't decide because they were all so good.

We're already planning a return visit, because there was so much more on the menu we wanted to try.

One of our favourite places to visit while in Great Yarmouth is @sealifeyarmouth. We've been going since Erin was tiny and it's still somewhere we enjoy now.

Grandma came with us this time and it was so nice to see Erin showing her around, pointing out some of the newer areas and things that weren't there last time. We spent so much time watching the rays dance around in the big pool, discussing what they were doing and seeing them act in a way that we haven't before.

Our favourite area is of course the glass tunnel, which was refurbished not too long ago. It's amazing to stand under the water, watching the sharks and turtles swim by. We could have stayed there for ages.

Erin got hands on during this visit and got to hold a millipede! We love the ranger station and each time we go, it seems that there is something different to do. Of course, Erin loved getting a sticker while we were there too.

Although it doesn't take us as long to get around now, you get a stamp on arrival which means you can go back again later in the day if you want to.

There are so many options when it comes to having

There are so many options when it comes to having dinner in London but somewhere that never disappoints? Hard Rock Cafe!

On our latest trip I took Erin to @hrcpiccadillycircus for the first time. Although we walked in not having a reservation, we were able to get a table immediately, even in the middle of the summer holidays.

Erin was amazed at the restaurant, looking around everywhere at the memorabilia. She might not have known who some of the singers and bands were, but she loved picking out the ones she did know, and looking at what items were hanging on the walls.

The children's menu cost £11.50 but came with a main and a drink, which for somewhere like this, was a good price. Erin struggled to pick what she wanted though, because she could have eaten anything on the menu. When the food came, she was really impressed with the burger and then with the sundae she got for dessert.

Although it's not exciting, I went for chicken tenders and fries, because it's my favourite from Hard Rock Cafe. There's something about these tenders that's different to everywhere else. I didn't get to eat them all though, because Erin stole some!

Upstairs, we visited the gift shop, picking out a pin badge each. Hard Rock Cafe have amazing pins so choosing one was quite hard... but we managed it!

Looking for a free museum in London that's a little bit different?

The @wellcomecollection explores what it means to be human, bringing together science, medicine, art and culture through thought-provoking exhibitions and fascinating objects.

One thing we really liker was that families can borrow sensory resources, including fidget toys and ear defenders, making the museum more accessible and comfortable for children who may need them.

We also loved spending time in the beautiful Reading Room. Filled with books about health, science, nature and the human experience, it's a lovely place to pause, browse and recharge before carrying on your visit.

The collections cover everything from our bodies and minds to how we connect with each other and the world around us. While some exhibitions are better suited to older children, there was still plenty for me and Erin to enjoy together.

If you're looking for a museum that's a little more unusual, completely free, and perfect for curious families, the Wellcome Collection is well worth adding to your next trip to London.

Looking for something free and different to do in

Looking for something free and different to do in London? Head to Tottenham Court Road tube station to find massive four-storey tall, 360-degree wrap-around LED screens in The Now Building by Outernet London.

We've been on most trips to London as we end up at Tottenham Court Road anyway and it's never been the same thing twice. These huge screens are absolutely beautiful and always changing.

This time there were a few different games such as football and Tetris that you could join in with just by scanning the QR code. We had a little bit of time to kill so this was an ideal place to stop, especially for a little sit down and to cool down a bit.

The best thing? It's open roughly until 11:30pm and entrance is completely free. You can come and go as you please, or even sit for a while and watch it over and over again.
