Afternoon tea in the Belmont Room at Betty’s, York

Whenever I asked anyone what I should do on a girl’s weekend in York one of the suggestions that came up numerous times was afternoon tea at Betty’s. Actually, it was said that you cannot go to York and not go to Betty’s.

Experiencing the hotel dining plan at Butlins Bognor Regis

AD | Butlins provided us with a dining plan during our stay When visiting Butlins there are lots of different choices when it comes to food. If you’re staying in an apartment or similar you might want to go self-catering, or, you might choose from the DineAround, Premium or Food Court dining plans. As part of our holiday, we had the Hotel dining plan, which is available if you stay at the Shoreline Hotel or the Ocean Hotel at Butlins Bognor Regis.

A seaside lunch at the Tides Restaurant in Cromer

AD | Complimentary meal We’re so lucky to have so many wonderful places to eat here in Norfolk. When in Cromer though somewhere most people visit at least once is the Cromer Pier, which also has it’s very own restaurant. The Tides Restaurant has just launched a brand new menu and we visited over the weekend to give it a try.

Restaurant review: The Station Smokehouse, Wroxham

Sometimes, it can be easy to go to the same restaurants you know and love. This is exactl what me and a friend usually do when we go out for a meal. However, a couple of weeks ago we decided to try The Station Smokehouse in Wroxham as they had 50% off burgers on a Monday. I can’t resist a discount.

Restaurant review: Smith’s Bar & Grill, Paddington

AD | complimentary meal On our stay in London last week we had a fabulous morning with GoBoat in Paddington and were looking for somewhere close by to have lunch afterwards. We were invited to have lunch at Smith’s Bar & Grill which is also located in Paddington so this was a great time for us to try it out.

A family pub lunch at The King’s Head, Wroxham

Being a non-driving family we always like to find places in Norfolk that we can get to either by bus or train. One of our favourite places to visit is Wroxham as it’s only a 10 minute train ride away and then a short walk into town. Usually, when we go here we have a McDonald’s and then feed the ducks but this time we did something different. We booked a pub lunch at The King’s Head.
