Is Yoto Club Worth It? A Parent’s Guide to Monthly Audio Adventures

AD | Collaborative post

Erin’s Yoto mini is one of her favourite things, and she uses it every single day. We’re always on the lookout for new cards and one of the best ways to do this is to join the Yoto Club!

What is the Yoto Club?

Yoto Club is a subscription for Yoto player owners! Changes were made in September 2024, bringing a brand new Yoto Club to customers. Subscriptions give members access to exclusive content, promotions and depending on level of membership, credits to choose new Yoto cards each month.

How does it work?

Each month when your membership renews you will be able to access content and credits through your Yoto account. If you have a membership which gives credits, these will be available to use and you can browse all of the Yoto cards on offer that month.

The Yoto website is really clear when it comes to Yoto Club purchases. Once you’re logged into your online account, the Yoto website will show you all available cards in the club that month and how many credits they are worth. For example, a single card is usually worth 1 credit while packs of cards vary depending on type and how big the pack is.

Some content is available via the Yoto app, such as the Club Collection, exclusive content and podcasts and radio stations. We love the sleep sounds included, as they’re great for bedtimes!

Yoto Club members also get 10% off purchases, as well as free regular shipping on orders over £12.

Can you cancel easily?

As monthly or annual membership payments are available, you can cancel depending on how you pay. For example, if you need to cancel and pay monthly, you can cancel ahead of the next billed month. If you have an annual subscription, you will need to cancel ahead of your next payment.

You can cancel your active subscription easily though by logging into your account and choosing the option to cancel. On the flip side, you can rejoin whenever you want just as easily. This is great if you only want to join for certain months of the year.

What cards are included?

The old version of the Yoto Club was quite limited with how many cards were available to choose from. However, that’s something that has changed for the better with the new Yoto Club. Now, there’s over 850 cards to choose from at any one time. While writing this post I checked what was available and there was 937 cards to choose from at that time.

How often are new cards added?

One of the great things about the Yoto Club is that there are always new cards being released and that means new cards added to the club. However, this does also mean that some cards are removed each month.

A tip from me is to get a card you want while you see it, if you have credits available. You never know if it’s still going to be part of the club collection or not the next month.

Do I have spend all of my credits each month?

No! Even though you get credits on certain Yoto club plan levels, you don’t have to spend them all at once. Yoto Club credits stay on your account and can be spent when you like. You can buy Yoto cards with club credits, as well as buying digitial content.

Club points are valid for 12 months, even if a membership is cancelled. However, points redeemed are not re-credited if an order has been canceled or partially refunded.

Our review

We were members of the old Yoto Club for a while, when we first got our Yoto player. At the time, we felt like there wasn’t enough choice each month and we quickly ran out of cards to choose from. Something I am so glad to see with the new membership is the choice of Yoto titles now available each month. With over 850 to choose from, and a wide range of titles and topics, we now have a bit of a wishlist going on.

Yoto cards for older children were definitely missing from the library before but I’m so happy to see that loads more have now been added. As Erin is just about to turn 9, she wants something a bit different has has a wider range of interests. Some titles at the time of writing for this age are The Catastrophic Friendship Fails of Lottie Brooks, The World’s Worst Children 1, Wonka, The Wild Robot, Space Band and 5 Minute Marvel Stories.

There are so many cards to choose from for younger children too though, and I have no doubt there will be loads that you will want to pick. From Disney, to princesses, to favourites such as Peppa Pig, there will be plenty of well-known characters with stories here.

Using the Yoto Club is so easy with the online account on uk.yotoplay.com. Not only am I able to see my current subscription but also how many unused credits I have. When logged into your account you can see a green bar above the cards, which tells you how many credits you have. I love that I am able to look at cards and filter to Yoto Club only, making it easier to see the cards available!

At the minute we have the Collector+ membership, which gives us 2 credits a month. The average price of a card is around £9-£12 for a single pack so we pretty much get 2 for the price of 1. We’ve added quite a few cards to our collection since we joined Yoto Club and that’s without counting all of the digital content we get access to as well.

The changes Yoto have made to the membership are fantastic and they really make it much better value for money. We can’t wait to see what we’ll pick each month and it’s always nice to have a variety of content to choose from.
