Alternative Advent Calendars For 2017

I love advent calendars! I always used to get so excited about them as a child, especially because we would often get ours a few days into December meaning we could open more than 1 box! Now though, I have me, John and Erin to think about for advent calendars and there is so much on the market now. I’m sure over time we will all want something different but here are a few that I love this year!

Advent Calendars

John LOVES Haribo. I don’t know how but I never realised they did advent calendars before. As soon as I came across this I knew it was the one for John. Behind the windows you’ll find small bags of sweets and it costs Β£7!

Advent Calendars

Erin is a bit too young for this year but the Hama Beads advent calendar looks like so much fun. For around Β£15 (depending on where you buy from) you get over 5000 beads, peg boards and more. I love the idea of having something fun to do each day and it’s nice to not have chocolate or sweets sometimes.

I’ll be honest, Cancer Research is not the place I would go looking for an advent calendar. However, how amazing is this wooden house advent calendar? The house has 24 little wooden doors to put your items behind and it’s just super adorable! I think this would look lovely in any house over Christmas and it can be found both in Cancer Research shops and online for Β£16.99.

For older children and adults, why not get something completely different with an advent calendar you build yourself? The Clever Badger’s Pop and Slot Snow Chalet advent calendar costs Β£9.49 and at the end, you will have a gorgeous snowy chalet along with winter animals and Santa to really set the scene. This is also something you can use year after year as a decoration!

Of course, chocolate advent calendars are still an option but these would all make fantastic alternatives this year!Β
