The women in my family are probably the hardest to buy for. Some of them just never say they want anything and others, well, they already have near enough everything! I’ve put together a few ideas for presents for women this year based on things the people I know would like. Of course, these items aren’t solely aimed at women and they could be suitable for anyone you know.
I don’t know about you but sometimes I really like a meal that I don’t have to cook, or have to think about paying for. As a family, meals out can be quite expensive but buyagift have so many options for meal vouchers. Somewhere that is always a hit with our family is Planet Hollywood in London and the voucher for a meal for a family of 4 would make a fantastic gift this year.
During the winter months I miss the sun kissed look my skin had in the summer. St. Moriz have some lovely products such as the 5 in 1 Tanning Mousse or the Shade Control Express Tanning Mousse so you can get something to suit your tanning needs!
Buying beauty products can sometimes be a little tricky; you don’t want to end up buying the wrong shade of something if you’re looking at make-up as a gift. An alternative is a beauty product instead. Designed to be applied just before bed each night, RapidLash Eyelash Enchancing Serum from lookfantastic helps eyelashes to look longer and fluffier without salon treatments.
To make a bath that little bit more special the Festive Fairies Bath Bomb Trio from Mad Beauty can help to add a bit of shimmer and sparkle… with the help of Tinkerbell of course!
I love to relax with a face mask, although it’s not something I get the time for so often. I love the Disney Princess Face Mask Collection from Mad Beauty and it would make a great gift for any Disney fan!
Add a bit of fun to someone’s lip care routine with the Friends Lip Balm Trio from Mad Beauty. Each lip balm comes in the shape of a different coffee cup or mug from the famous Central Perk. The lip balms are great sizes too so they’re great for putting in a handbag to keep handy.
I’m not sure when it happened (I guess I really am getting older) but I have really dry hands now. It doesn’t matter what season it is, they are always dry. If you know someone similar, the Woods of Windsor True Rose gift set* which includes a moisturising hand wash and hand cream would be an ideal gift.
Now that I’m a parent, I tend to forget about some of the things I used to love, like perfume. Available from Superdrug, the limited edition Ted Baker Amelia smells amazing and is so beautifully packaged.
I am a bit of a self-confessed stationery addict and I love a nice pen. Stabilo have some beautiful sets of pens, in a wide variety of colours and styles. I know that I would be happy to see these in my stocking this year.
I sometimes find that colouring books are a little boring and a lot of the same, especially for grown ups. That’s why I really love the Great British Colouring Book, full of maps from all over the UK to colour in, such as Edinburgh, Norwich and London. The maps are intricate and will take some time but imagine how amazing they will look when they’re finished.
Whenever we go to London I hate being stuck indoors, especially when we have Erin with us. As exciting as some of the attractions are, London has some beautiful green areas to discover and of course, there is the Thames too! The Walk London – Royal parks and Thames Path guide has some great walking routes plotted out as well as showing things to do and see along the way.
Something that I personally like to get as a present each year is a nice box of chocolates as it’s not something I would buy myself at any other time of year. I can’t resist a praline so Guylian are a great choice for me. Their classic praline shells never last long in this house!
Jigsaw puzzles can be such a relaxing thing to do if you have a bit of spare time. Wentworth Wooden Puzzles have a really beautiful range and there are so many that I could pick for myself, and for gifts for others! I especially like their range of puzzles for animal lovers. Puzzles start from 25 pieces and go all the way up to over 1500 pieces.
Is there anything here that you would buy for someone, or maybe yourself?
