If someone asked you what you think of when the word poppy is mentioned you would probably say Remembrance Sunday. Now, Remembrance Sunday falls on the second Sunday in November every year but what people may not recognise is that the Royal British Legion raise money all year round and giving all year is just as important as giving in November. I honestly didn’t know about this before but the Royal British Legion have their own online shop, The Poppy Shop, where you can support the charity all year round.
I LOVE a Christmas jumper and while Erin has loads of new Christmas clothes this year, me and John didn’t get anything new. For years I have wanted us to have matching jumpers and this year my wish came true as John and I were sent matching Christmas jumpers. The Poppy Shop has Christmas jumpers available in sizes Small to 3XL.
I know this is probably (definitely) not the place people will think of first for Christmas jumpers but trust me when I say they are amazing! John and I are not the smallest of people so I ordered him a 3XL and me a 2XL. Both of our jumpers fit perfectly and if you’re wondering, I’m normally a size 20. The shop does have a size guide though and chest sizes so you can figure out which size would be best for you.
As soon as I put the jumper on for the first time I was in love. It is so snuggly and warm and I was super comfortable wearing it all day until I went to bed. It’s even better when I cuddle John wearing his as well.
The design on the jumper is really fun. Not only are there the iconic poppies but also Christmas trees, snowflakes and reindeer. Now, as much as I love the design Erin has a problem with it immediately. She was a little bit upset that there are no stars on the tops of the trees. I don’t mind that too much though.
These jumpers cost £34.99 each and we will get so much wear out of them. If I didn’t have to wash it I think I’d have worn it all month because it’s just so warm!
We were also sent this gorgeous name tag for Jara. I would love to show you it on her collar but if you have a cat, I know you’ll understand why that hasn’t happened. Every time I have tried she has hated me for a little bit afterwards. I figured I’d stop annoying her.
If you still have some presents to buy, please have a look at The Poppy Shop. Not only will you be giving to a wonderful charity but there are also some fantastic products to buy.
We were sent these items for the purpose of this review. All opinions are our own.
