When we think of Mother’s Day sometimes I think we put a lot of focus on parents with younger children. For years I lived really far away from my Mum so unless we were making a trip to see each other I would have to send her something in the post for Mother’s Day. These kinds of gifts can get a bit samey though and I get bored of sending something unoriginal and impersonal. This year, I discovered Morse Toad and one of their wonderful products, the Chocolate Memory Box.
Instead of just buying a standard box of chocolates the chocolate memory box allows you to really make it special and personal. You can upload a photo to the front of the box which can then be hung on the wall if you buy a frame to go with it. Inside the box you can choose from 22, 33 or 44 chocolates, which can all be personalised.
Creating the chocolate memory box is really easy and it only took me minutes to figure it all out on the Morse Toad website. As well as picking a message to go on the chocolates, you can write another personal message on the other side of the lid. You get up to 1400 characters so that’s quite a lot for whatever you need to say. This is great for letting the recipient know exactly who the gift is from (if you want to) and being able to write a bit more. It saves having to send a card too!
After ordering a Chocolate Memory Box and choosing standard delivery it only took a couple of days to arrive. It was packaged really well and once unpacked, was in perfect condition. This is something I really pay attention to as if you’re buying it as a gift, you want it to arrive nicely and for it to look impressive when it is opened.
As for the price of the chocolate memory box, there are various options available:
22 chocolates – £12.95
33 chocolates – £15.95
44 chocolates – £18.95
If you would like the recipient to be able to hang the photo after the chocolates have been eaten then you can add a black wooden frame for £4.50.
With occasions such as Mother’s Day just around the corner I think this would make a fantastic gift. Of course, being able to personalise the chocolates means you could buy it for anything from Father’s Day to a birthday to Christmas!

Oh these sound perfect! I always feel that mothers day gifts get very samey as well. Flowers, chocolate, fluffy socks… Thats my usual go to for my mum! Caitylis x x
What a lovely idea! I am always a fan of chocolate for a mothers day gift, especially when your parents are a certain age as they tend to have all they need thanks to grown up children a bit more disposable income.

Yum, I like this! I don’t celebrate Mother’s Day though as I don’t have a mum anymore and it’s still a bit painful.

What a lovely idea. My mum lives overseas in Germany (or rather, she lives where she always did, I’m the one living overseas), so I don’t get to see her that often and never on Mothering Sunday. In Germany, Mother’s Day is actually in May, so I always have to remember to buy her a card in March and then to send it off in May!
