Erin will be 2 on New Year’s Day so we’re always on the look out for things to buy her either for Christmas or her birthday. Everything happening in the space of a week means quite a lot of planning on our part. With Erin getting presents so close to each other, I like to try to make what she gets varied and different and I think our Toddlers Christmas Gift Guide for 2017 reflects this!
Erin got her first Duplo set for her birthday last year and she spends hours playing with it! This Pizzeria Set is adorable and comes with loads of pieces, including pizzas to put in the oven and a restaurant owner with a phone! For £24.99 you get loads for your money and it’s a set that will last years!
Erin has recently developed a big love for In The Night Garden and it has quickly become part of her bed time routine. She comes out of the bath shouting GARDEN and can’t wait to watch an episode before bed. If you’ve got an In The Night Garden loving toddler like we do, the Peeking Igglepiggle is a perfect present. He actually plays peek a boo with his blanket it’s such a cute and fun toy. Peeking Igglepiggle costs £29.99.
What toddler doesn’t like to get creative and do some colouring or painting? Little Brian have some great Paint Sticks which take most of the mess out of painting but still keep all of the fun! For £7.99 these would make a great stocking filler!
Another show Erin loves is Paw Patrol and while this CAT Machine Maker Junior Operator Dump Truck from Toy State is not a Paw Patrol toy, it very much looks like what Rubble drives. At £9.99, this is a lovely little toy and comes in it’s own carry case ready to be assembled.
Toddlers love to copy what other people do and Erin loves to get one of my hairbrushes and either brush her own, or my hair! The Tangle Cherub from Tangle Angel costs £9.95 and is absolutely beautiful. Other colours are available than the one shown but it’s a great first hairbrush for children and Erin loves using hers! The brush is pretty, yet practical and something a little different to give this year.
We’re Spearmark mumbassadors and they have some fantastic gift ideas for toddlers. As I mentioned earlier, Erin loves a few certain cartoons and Spearmark have some lovely sets for toddlers. The products can all be found on Amazon and are so reasonably priced! These sets make fantastic gifts and they all cost less than £10 so perfect if you’re buying for friend’s children or family members!
Above is the Paw Patrol Tumble, Bowl and Plate Set which costs £8.99.
Peppa Pig Tumber, Bowl and Plate Set from Spearmark – £6.00
In The Night Garden Tumber, Bowl and Plate Set from Spearmark – £8.99
From being quite young Erin has really loved playing with shape sorters. The London Bus Leo from Wow Toys is really lovely and costs £15.99. There are 6 shapes to sort in the top of the bus as well as a bus driver figure! Toddlers can spend ages sorting the shapes by colour as well or taking the bus for a ride around the living room!
Wow Toys also have this fantastic Sam the Steam Train set for £32.99. Erin is a bit obsessed with trains and loves to say Choo Choo as soon as we get anywhere near the train station and gets so excited when we go on a train. This set comes with a steam engine, passenger carriage and three characters to play with!
Something I’ve noticed when shopping for presents for Erin is that a lot of what is available is big sets of things. I like to get some smaller presents as well, stocking fillers, and I haven’t really seen much for around the £5 mark. Luckily, What2Buy4Kids is an amazing place to shop and they have all different kinds of toys and they can be sorted into different ages. We’re loving the Dear Zoo Matching Pairs game which only costs £4.99!
Spearmark have such fun products and they have a whole range of colour changing lights in the shape of children’s television characters. The Peppa Pig Illumi-Mate light costs £9.00 and changes colour 4 times! Green may be a slightly strange one though as you can see in the picture above but overall, it’s a fun product and something a bit different than a toy to give this year as a gift!
I love personalised presents and I wish I could have had something as wonderful as this Find My Name In The Alphabet Train Book. The books cost £19.99 and you can have it personalised with your child’s name as well as choosing hair and skin colour! Erin is just learning letters and to say her own name so this book is absolutely perfect!
I hope this gift guide has been helpful and maybe given you a bit of inspiration for what to buy the toddlers in your life this year for Christmas!
