Be whisked away on a new adventure with Books2Door

AD | Paid collaboration

May half term is just around the corner and it’s a great time to think about what you’re going to do with the kids. Days out are great but sometimes you need a chill day at home. An ideal activity for days like this is reading, and Books2Door have some fantastic options for kids.

Something I love about reading, and I hope that we are passing on to Erin, is that a book can take you absolutely anywhere. There’s not much better than curling up on the sofa and being whisked away to a world completely different to your own.

Rediscover a classic, or read it for the first time

One of my favourites as a child was always The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. I remember being excited to follow the characters on their adventures, meeting new friends and reading this one over and over again. To share something like this with Erin, The Magical Worlds Complete Collection by Enid Blyton would be an ideal set. Not only are they books we could read together, but also something for her to explore on her own.

Introduce the kids to Shakespeare

During the Easter holidays we took a road trip to Stratford-upon-Avon to stay for a few days. During this time, Erin learned about Shakespeare for the first time. She was quite interested in some of the characters after seeing sculptures and pictures of them.

One of my favourite features on the Books2Door website is the filters. Sometimes I’m not entirely sure what I’m looking for and I want some inspiration. I can be sure books are age appropriate and find something I might not have known about before.
