When-I-became-your-Granny-1

A heart-warming picture book about the love between grandmothers and grandchildren, featuring shimmering silver foil on every page!

For one little panda cub, days spent with Granny are always the best days of all. From chewing on bamboo and playing in the grass to sheltering from a snowstorm and snuggling up in a tree as night falls, Granny is there to share, play, help and cuddle.

With a beautifully reassuring, rhyming text by debut author Susannah Shane and stunning artwork by award-winning and internationally bestselling illustrator Britta Teckentrup, this picture book makes the perfect gift for children and their grannies, and will soon become a bedtime favourite.

When I became your Granny

Being a multi-generational household means that Erin loves to read books that include all of us and there aren’t that many about a grandmother. This book is such a special one for a granny, grandma, gran etc. to read with their grandchildren and I’m sure it’s one that will quickly become a favourite.

To start with, the book is beautifully presented. There is silver embossing on each page running throughout the book and it really adds that little bit of extra special magic to the story. The finish of each page is absolutely stunning and it’s something I really liked about this one. The pages definitely stand out compared with other books.

When I became your Granny

As for the story, When I became your Granny is all about the wonderful relationship between grandparent and grandchild. The Granny in the story, a gorgeous panda, tells the little panda all of the things she loves about being their Granny. This starts with the day they were born, to telling them stories and watching them grow up.

This is such a special book and I know it’s going to be read over and over again in our house.
