It’s very nearly time to decorate the house ready for Christmas and this year we wanted to do something a bit different. Our large living room/ dining room has a lot of wall space and it’s all painted white at the moment. If we don’t have large decorations the room ends up looking really plain and boring. This year, we have some fantastic festive wall stickers from Stickerscape!
Stickerscape have so many options for wall stickers and I had a hard time choosing what I wanted. In the end I chose the Countdown Wall Sticker in large and the Santa and Sleigh Wall Sticker in large as well. The prices for these products vary depending on the sizes you choose but ours cost £8 and £15.
The stickers come rolled up in a cardboard tube. The smaller sticker came out fine but due to the size of the bigger sticker, I thought unrolling it the night before would be a good idea to make using it easier! This worked really well because there were no rolled up edges in the morning. Large designs need to be cut down to remove any excess bare paper.
Before you can add the stickers to the wall there is a bit of preparation to do. You first need to apply pressure to the whole of the design to make sure it was attached to the adhesive paper. We used a credit card to apply the pressure as this is what the instructions advises.
Once you have done this you then slowly peel one side of the paper way and then put on the wall. Be careful to get the right placing first time! Once you have done this you then have to apply pressure again before peeling off the final layer of paper to reveal your design.
Applying our design was pretty easy. The only thing we had a slight problem with was making sure the design was attached to the paper properly. Maybe we didn’t use enough pressure but we sometimes had to peel some bits off ourselves instead of it coming off with the paper.
Putting up both of our stickers took about 15 minutes maximum between me and John. Having 2 people to do the larger sticker was really helpful and made the whole thing a lot easier.
I am so in love with our festive feature wall. We chose one of our chimney breast walls as we usually have quite a bit going on in the living room and this helped to make the dining room more festive.
We put these up while Erin was asleep and she was pretty amazed by it when she woke up. We’ll be starting our countdown soon and I can’t wait to change the numbers every day with Erin.
If you fancy winning yourself one of each sticker make sure you enter below! They’ll be great to put away ready for next year! (Ends 21/12 UK only)

I love these and I know the boys would love them! Stickers are such a great way of adding a pop of colour and can be changed through the seasons. My two are so excited about Father Christmas visiting so they would absolutely love this!
Ah this is fab! Love the idea of having a countdown on the wall 🙂 X
This looks lovely. I bet Erin loves it! My two little boys certainly would. It is fab value 🙂 x
What a great idea – I’ve never thought of doing this but it looks so quick and easy!
I love this sticker. We have a count down too, although I’m really bad at remembering to change the number each day.
Same here!
Your wall looks great! We don’t have any free wall space, so we’ve got a little countdown sheet on the fridge 🙂
This looks fun! Mine would love to update that each morning, looks easy to apply to
Was so quick!
