Even before Erin was born we started buying her books. Now, she has a small library in her bedroom but she still loves to get a new book. Sometimes we like to look for something a bit different to a regular story book though and recently we have discovered In The Book, where you can choose from a whole range of personalised story books.
In The Book has a really great choice of books to choose from and there really is bound to be something for everyone. There are plenty of ways to filter down the books into things such as rough ages, interests etc. This is great if you know what the child you’re looking for likes. With a Disney mad 4 year old I was easily able to find something I knew that Erin would love; a Moana book.
When ordering your book you have various options for personalisation. You can add a name that will go on the front cover of the book, as well as inside the story, a personal message for the child and you can also upload a picture if you want to. I really liked the simple options as sometimes you can spend ages just trying to pick the right things.
The hardback book came in a really nice protective box with the Disney castle on the front in silver. I’m not sure how other books are delivered but if you are buying one as a gift, the Disney ones look really special and that extra touch was something I really liked. I would be happy to order another book knowing that it would make a beautiful gift for someone.
Sometimes with a book with the same name as a very popular film you can sometimes worry that the illustrations or the story won’t be quite right. In The Book offer a really high quality book the follows the story of the Moana film well, although the personalised name is added into it. Although Erin isn’t at an age where she can read the story herself (we of course do that) she could follow through the images.
Erin loved being a part of the Moana story. It’s one of her favourite films and we have watched it more times than I am able to count. Now, being able to have such a special book of the same story, is something really special for Erin and she loves having us read the story with her. Now, I have a couple more books in mind for her that I know she’ll love.
