Much Needed Pamper Time

It’s very rare that I take some time out for myself. During the week Erin is home from Saturday-Tuesday and then the other three days a week she is at nursery. The rest of the time I am either doing things around the house or working. Being self-employed means not having regular working ours and sometimes, having to work every day for long hours. I get so tired sometimes that my eyes hurt so much and I find it hard to keep them open and to concentrate on anything! Recently I was sent a Thera-Pearl Eye Mask from Feel Good Contacts so I couldn’t wait to give it a go.

Unlike some eye masks which only have one function, the Thera-Pearl Eye Mask can be used either warm or cold! This is one of the reasons why I liked the sound of this particular product. The blue pearls inside the eye mask either contain heat for a long period of time or they can stay cold instead.

To use the Thera-Pearl Eye Mask you either freeze it for up to 2 hours or pop it in the microwave for a maximum of 15 seconds.

For someone like me who gets tried quite often, it’s recommended to use the eye mask cold. Having the mask cold helps to rejuvenate tired eyes and I know I definitely need that! The mask has a detachable strap around the back which is a really great feature. I personally don’t like for an eye mask to feel like it’s tied to me so it’s much more relaxing to just place it over my eyes when I use it.

It’s recommended to use the eye mask cold for 20 minutes and I think this is the perfect length of time. It’s just enough to give you a lift without your face getting too cold!

If I feel like having a bit more of a pamper rather than fixing my tired eyes then using the mask warm is perfect for this. I love to take it in the bath with me so I can completely lay back and relax, even if it’s only for 15 minutes! I love how using the eye mask warm makes me feel and it’s really a lovely pleasure to have at home!
