Saving Space With Prestige Kitchen Hacks

There are many things I dislike about our house at the moment but one of the biggest things is our kitchen. We have a galley kitchen which means it’s really small and narrow and there isn’t a whole lot of storage space. This means that we have to be clever with the things we buy, making sure we have enough space to store them. We were recently introduced to the Prestige Kitchen Hacks range and there are some fantastic products to help with space issues in the kitchen.

We have very limited counter space and numerous containers for things like utensils or knife blocks take up way too much room. The Knife and Utensil Station is a great way for freeing up come space but it is also so much more than that as well.

The back section of the station can hold up to 6 knives of any size and any brand so you can use whatever you already own. We already have Prestige knives so it’s nice to have them match but you don’t need to do the same. The front section can hold loads of different utensils. We have about 10-12 in there at the moment and there is still room for more.

The Knife and Utensil Station also has hidden extras and think these make a huge difference. The station has a removable knife sharpener which sits in the front and there is also a removable rest where you can put your utensils while you cook and I LOVE this feature. My counter either gets mucky while I’m cooking or I end up with a plate or something to put things and this is so much easier.

I think every kitchen must have one of those cupboards where things get thrown in and forgotten about. My cupboard like this doesn’t even have a door though so more often than not the mixing bowls and colanders spill out everywhere and it’s impossible to find anything. The set includes 4 different bowls; 0.5L measuring jug, 1L measuring jug, Colander and a 4L measuring jug. The bowls sit nicely within one another, taking up the space of only 1 instead 4 and this is exactly what I need. Each of the jugs have large handles, non-slip feet and easy pour spouts which makes using them as easy as storing them.

Also in the cupboard of doom are our frying pans because there just hasn’t been anywhere else to put them. These, along with the bowls make a massive mess every time we want to use them. The pans have heat resistant handles that interlock meaning they both take up the same amount of space as one. If you’re worried about the pans scratching each other though you don’t have to because the interlocking feature means that the bodies don’t actually touch. These are non-stick and oven safe up to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4 which means you should be able to use them for a lot of different things.

We have found a great new place for our frying pans that isn’t the cupboard of doom. Hooks at the side of our kitchen cupboards is the perfect place for these pans. They are now easy to get to and they stack so nicely together. They’re also out of the way so they now only take up space that wasn’t being used at all before.
