It may be the end of November but I’m already looking forward to spring and summer. What better way to do that with a picnic basket!?
This year, Erin wasn’t really old enough for a good picnic as she was only 6 or 7 months old in summer. She wasn’t eating finger foods really and she couldn’t sit up on her own too well. Next year though, she’ll be toddling around and eating everything in sight. We live a couple of minutes away from a big park and will be spending a lot of time there next summer.
The lovely people at Savisto kindly sent us a Luxury 4 Person Wicker Picnic Basket to review!
This particular picnic basket is suitable for 4 people. I was so impressed when it arrived as the wicker basket itself is such good quality. The handle and the closure are really strong and sturdy, meaning you don’t have to worry about anything falling out when you’re carrying the basket.
Once I opened the basket I was even more impressed. I was kind of expecting some cheap tablewear and plastic cutlery. I was so wrong! The picnic basket includes:
4 x Ceramic dinner plates
4 x Stainless steel knives, forks and spoons
4 x Wine glasses
1 x Stainless steel salt & pepper shaker set (with lids)
1 x Multi-tool drinks opener (corkscrew, bottle opener & small penknife)
2 x Cooler bags (with zips and handles)
1 x Wine cooler bag (with carrying strap)
As you can see from the above pictures, everything is really secure inside the basket. The cutlery and smaller items all have their own individual slots in the top of the basket. The plates are kept in place by leather straps and buckles. What I loved the most was the way that the wine glasses (actually made from glass) are kept in place. These go in the bottom part of the basket and are kept in place with leather straps.
I really feel like the whole picnic basket is really good quality and worth what it costs, which is £49.99. A smaller basket for 2 people is available as well for £43.99.
Our basket is absolutely perfect for me, John and Erin and we’re going to get so much use out of it in the summer.

My friend bought a picnic basket for £50 when BHS was closing down and it isn’t as nice looking as this! I love this – you’ll have so much fun with it next year.
We do have a picnic basket, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love another one! 😉
I love this one! I’ve always wanted a proper picnic basket
What a lovely picnic basket. This would make a lovely Christmas present and the perfect thing to celebrate the return of Spring!
It’s such a good picnic basket!
I have a similar basket. Going to use it in the summer too.
This is lovely. My husband won a hamper from work like this one but full of food. I can not wait to use it once the weather warms up. This is lovely with all the things inside 🙂 Great price.
oooh, I do love a good picnic basket – that looks fab. Lots of days out to be planned now!
I think we’ll get a lot of use out of this next year
I absolutely love these baskets, not for their original purposes though.
I love the idea of them as a handbag!
This picnic basket is adorable I love how it looks like a wicker basket. Its so romantic I think”!
We have a picnic basket similar to this one and we use it all the time in the summer.
ooo this is so pretty! This is exactly how I imagine traditional picnics, my nan and grandad used to have something similar but I had no idea they still make them! I would love this!
