A delicious lunch at Uilenspiegel, Ghent

AD | Gifted meal When in a new city it can be hard to decide where to go for a nice sit down meal, especially as a family. If you’re considering visiting Ghent though, Uilenspiegel should be at the top of your list!

Did you manage to see Priscilla Queen of the Deser Did you manage to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert earlier this week while it was in Norwich?

The film is one of my all time favourites, and I saw a different version at Norwich Playhouse a few years ago. I was excited to see what this version was like though, and how true it stayed to the film.

@keviclifton (also from Grimsby) was so good as Tick/ Mitzi. I've seen Kevin in a few other shows (Strictly Ballroom and Everybody's Talking About Jamie) and he is yet to disappoint. His vocals are so much better than I ever imagined them to be, and he fits this role perfectly!

With regards to the film, the stage version stays pretty true to the story, with certain scenes being favourites with the audience. However, there are some changes to the soundtrack, with the addition of a fair few Kylie songs. I don't mind this though as it stayed with the theme of the show and Kylie is Australian so that fit really well too.

@priscillatourukhad is full of campness, great songs and fantastic costumes. From the minute the show started, I started to smile and I don't think I stopped until the very end. There's comedy, songs everyone knows and loves and I'm sure you'd find yourself wanting to sing along.
AD | @pensthorpeuk is one of our favourite days ou AD | @pensthorpeuk is one of our favourite days out and we couldn't wait to see what they had going on over Easter.

As well as the amazing brand new outdoor play area, there's the indoor play at Hootz House and a super fun Easter Egg Hunt!

Of course, there's the rest of Pensthorpe to explore, with other activities such as Pond Dipping, happening throughout the day.

Something we love about a day here, aside from being able to explore and be outside, is that there's so much to do and you can spend the whole day there. This is such a great value for money day out!
Where do you get the best fish and chips in Norfol Where do you get the best fish and chips in Norfolk?

@no1cromer is usually my go to, and it never disappoints! We've been going ever since I moved to Norfolk and that's not going to stop any time soon.
AD | Easter at @pensthorpeuk just got even more fu AD | Easter at @pensthorpeuk just got even more fun with the addition of a brand new play area.

Set behind the existing outdoor play area, the new play area is the perfect extension. With the natural design and a similar look to the other equipment, it fits right in.

Erin loved figuring out where to climb, where to run, and most importantly, how fast the slide goes.

We enjoyed a couple of toasted marshmallows too, which was good value at £3! I imagine this new feature will be a huge hit.
AD | 2 main meals for only £14.95? The @theoakland AD | 2 main meals for only £14.95? The @theoaklandshotel is the place to be for a budget friendly family meal!

While the menu isn't huge, there are options for everyone and you can even pay to upgrade if you want to.

The restaurant had such a gorgeous light and relaxed vibe. Whether you're with friends or family, you'll feel right at home here.

We ordered a bit of a mix from the main menu, and for Erin from the children's menu. Not only did the food look delicious but it tasted great too.

Be sure to save space for dessert too, because the ice cream sundae and the brownie are both pretty phenomenal.

Next to try? The Sunday roasts look just as good!

As Erin gets older she's becoming more adventurous As Erin gets older she's becoming more adventurous with food and the newest place to try in Norwich was @wagamama_uk.

Erin was a little nervous beforehand, not sure whether it would be something she'd really enjoy. It was somewhere new for me too so we both went for the children's bento boxes, a great way to try something new without a hefty price tag.

For £7.50 you get:

A main
Noodles or rice
Choice of veg
Gyoza
Choice of sauce
Prawn crackers

So that we could try a few different things, me and Erin ordered differently, so we had both rice and noodles and both amai and katsu sauce. The bento box is such good value and we both found there wasn't much we didn't like, apart from the gyoza, which we weren't fans of.

To top things off, you can add a small dessert for only £1.50 with the bento box.

Erin's already looking at the rest of the children's menu now, to see what she can try next.
We went to see My Neighbour Totoro in the West End We went to see My Neighbour Totoro in the West End during February half term and it was such a lovely show... one of the best I've seen actually.

This one is a show for the whole family, whether you've already seen the film or not. The theatre and set have loads of interesting bits to look at even before the show starts. There's even a cool photo op in the lobby!

For us, the thing that blew us away, is the puppetry. The way it is done is so magical and there are some really wow moments throughout. Of course, the minute you meet Totoro is really special but we particularly loved the Catbus and the soot sprites.

Although this one says it's for age 6+, there are some darker themes throughout and a few bits could be quite upsetting. The theatre was filled with families though and no one really seemed bothered at any point.

I’ll be sharing a full review on the blog soon, but if you’re thinking about seeing it while it’s in the West End we’d definitely recommend it.

Have you seen My Neighbour Totoro yet?

I'm always looking for somewhere with a fantastic I'm always looking for somewhere with a fantastic burger and today I may have found the best in Norwich.

@bunxnorwich is tucked away down Pottergate, and you'd never know what's there if you walked past.

For a birthday lunch, me and Mum shared a feast tray which includes 2 burgers, 2 sides and dips. A classic burger was an easy choice for me while Mum had the 'Camemjam', which has oozing camembert, crispy onions, cheese, pickles and sauce!

The burger was absolutely phenomenal and I cant think of somewhere I've had better. The chips too were pretty great, somehow having the perfect mix of fluffy inside and crispy on the outside.

There's quite a lot of food so make sure you visit when you're really hungry.

Have you seen @pixar's new film Hoppers yet? Me a Have you seen @pixar's new film Hoppers yet?

Me and Erin used our free @vue cinema tickets to see this one, thanks to being Sky Cinema customers! I love that we get to go to the cinema once a month and enjoy a free film.

You can only use the tickets Sunday to Thursday though, so we have to be a bit pickier about when we go. We've made it into a nice Sunday tradition now though so it's always something to look forward to.

AD | Looking for a cheap but delicious place to ea AD | Looking for a cheap but delicious place to eat on your next trip to London? @icco_pizza has been around since 1999 and you can get a pizza from only £3.95!

We visited the SOHO branch, just a short walk from Chinatown and Piccadilly Circus. This was perfect for us as an early dinner before seeing a show.

After a busy day sightseeing, Erin and I were starving and couldn't wait to tuck in to a delicious pizza. You could go for a classic like a margherita or pepperoni pizza, or create your own... There's plenty of choice here!

Pizzas are made fresh on site and we loved being able to watch them being made. The pizza was pretty amazing too, and a great size if you want one for yourself or to share.

Although we didn't get one this time, there are children's meals available, as well as sides and desserts.

Whether you want to grab dinner, or something after a late night, @icco_pizza is open until 3am Thursday to Saturday. There's plenty of seating downstairs if you want to eat in or you can also grab a takeaway!

Something I know for sure is that we'll be back on our next trip to London.

AD | We've been to London so many times now and we AD | We've been to London so many times now and we're always looking for something different to do. @twist_museum was exactly that!

Just a short walk from Oxford Circus tube station, Twist Museum offers over 80 different exhibits with something exciting to see around every corner. Whether it's a mind-bending illusion to a fun interactive room, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

We had a great time figuring out some of the different exhibits, seeing how things worked and whether or not me and Erin saw some things the same way. It was great to see Erin so excited everytime she found something new and interesting, or figured out how something worked.

There are lockers available if you want to store your bags etc. before walking around, as well as toilets near the gift shop.

Visits last around 60-90 minutes, depending on how long you take to look around or take pictures. We visited in February half term so it was pretty busy and we had a short wait for some of the more popular areas.

The best Valentine's Day with the best girl! It's The best Valentine's Day with the best girl!

It's taken us a few years but Erin and I finally managed a trip to @christophescrepes for their Valentine's platter. A board full of heart shaped mini pancakes, fruit, whipped cream and dips meant that there was plenty for the two of us to share.

We both had our favourites, and a surprise for Erin was liking the white chocolate to dip as much as she did. I loved trying a bit of everything, even raspberries which I don't normally like.

This was such a fun way to spend Valentine's Day this year and we had the best time.
