Announcing INTERLUDE in the CLOSE

AD | Press tickets Last year we got to experience a different kind of theatre when Interlude was in Chapelfield Gardens in a big top tent. This year, Interlude in the Close has a new home, in the Norwich Cathedral Close and will take place from 14 July to 30 August 2021, in partnership with Lost in Translation Circus, Norwich Cathedral and Norwich School.

My First Panto Goldilocks And The Three Bears: An Online Interactive Panto For Kids

AD | Gifted experience When I was growing up I remember going to the panto every year at our local theatre. It was something to make a big deal of and we would usually get dressed up a bit to go as well. I wanted this to be something we could do with Erin when she was the right age, which I thought was this year. Sadly, Covid has meant a tough year for the theatre and most pantos haven’t been able to go ahead. In other years, we might have gone to The Garage

An Evening Reliving My Teenage Years

My absolute favourite band when I was growing up was 5ive. I knew all of the songs, I knew the dance moves and I definitely had my favourite. It had always been a dream of mine to see them in concert but it didn’t happen back in the ’90s. However, I did manage to go and see them at an outdoor concert at Chantry Park in Ipswich a few years ago and it was like a dream come true. My good friend Kirsty from The Overflowing Library is also a fellow fan of ’90s boy

Top 3 Family Shows Based On Disney Films

AD | Paid collaboration For many children, Disney films are an important and influential part of their childhood. Not only do most children know all the words to every Disney song, but a Disney Princess Dress or soft toy will undoubtedly have made its way into their toy box. So, what could be more exciting and magical than seeing your favourite Disney film transformed into a high energy, all-singing and all-dancing live stage performance?  On the bright lights of London’s West End, there are many musicals which have been based on Disney films. Not sure

Red Letter Days Days Out Together Gift Box Review

AD | Gifted experience My Mum has done a lot for us over the years and this year I wanted to do something really special for her close to Christmas. When she comes to visit most of the time is taken up by Erin and we don’t get a lot of time for just us any more. So, along with a hotel stay, I sorted out a visit to the theatre and out for a meal while we were in London. Being such a big fan of experience vouchers I arranged this with a Days Out

My First Panto: Rapunzel At The Garage, Norwich

We received an invitation to the press preview of this show.  I’ll be completely honest, before this summer I didn’t really know much about The Garage which is in the city centre of Norwich. Then, last summer I saw one of their shows advertised, My First Play: A Midsummer Night’s Nap and we were invited to go and see it. Erin absolutely loved the show and getting to take part was a big deal for her. A couple of weeks ago we were invited back to watch the press preview of My First Panto: Rapunzel.

Theatre Review: My First Play: A Midsummer Night’s Nap

AD | Press tickets Ever since I first took Erin to see a show at the theatre a couple of years ago she has been so excited about going back. We’ve been to see a few shows with characters from cartoons that she likes but we had never been to see a play. I guess I thought Erin was too young for a play but we recently went to see A Midsummer Night’s Nap at The Garage in Norwich. A Midsummer Night’s Nap is part of the ‘My First’ series and it’s a retelling of

Ben And Holly’s Little Kingdom Live At Norwich Theatre Royal

AD | Press tickets I remember Erin’s first trip to the theatre well. She was about 1.5 and we went to see Ben and Holly Live in Norwich. At the time, it was one of her favourite shows and she was so excited the whole time we were there. This year, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom Live is back at Norwich Theatre Royal and we were invited to take Erin to see it again. It’s still one of Erin’s favourite things to watch on TV now so she was super excited to go and see
