This year, Valentine’s Day will look a lot different than what we’re used to. Sadly, we won’t be able to go for weekends away, there will be no meals out and not even a trip into the city for a day with your partner. So, with that in mind I wanted to share some other ideas for Valentine’s Day gifts this year.
Although we’re not able to go anywhere right now, it doesn’t mean that you can’t surprise someone with a treat to look forward to. A buyagift experience voucher such as the Marriott Hotel Deluxe Spa Day with 55 Minute Treatment for Two, would make a lovely gift this year. Experience vouchers are valid for 20 months so there’s loads of time to get something booked in.
I don’t know about you but I always think that chocolate makes a great gift. Prezzybox offer some wonderful personalised gifts this year, which I think makes something that little bit extra special. I know John would really like the Personalised Toblerone bar.
Growing up I remember thinking that ‘smellies’ were gifts for women for whatever occasion they were celebrating. That definitely isn’t the case though and it’s just as important to think about these things for men. The Bluebeard’s Revenge Soap Stack Kit comes with three different bars and would make a great gift.
As we’re all spending so much time at home it’s important to stay comfortable. Love Leggings Lounge Leggings come in both black and grey and the plus size range goes from size 14 to 28. These are perfect for comfortable days at home.
Whether for use at home or in your luggage for a trip away, the Snow White Jewellery Box by Enchanting Disney (available from Gift Giving All Wrapped Up) is a great way for storing all of your jewellery, whether it be antique jewellery or modern. It will make an especially nice gift for any Disney fan.
John and I got married in Orlando, Florida so Disney really means something to us. The Cinderella Wedding Photo Frame by Enchanting Disney (available from Gift Giving All Wrapped Up) would be a lovely way to remember your wedding!
Who doesn’t love breakfast in bed? Something like this can be a really lovely way to start your Valentine’s Day and using the Libby & Ross egg cup set from Red Candy could be really fun.
Who doesn’t like getting a new mug as a gift? The Love You mug from Our Name is Mud is available from Gift Giving All Wrapped Up. This one has the perfect message for Valentine’s Day.
Sometimes it’s nice to see the idea of love dotted around the house, whether that be in the form of photos or other accessories. The Flamingo Doormat from Red Candy is really fun and bright and a great way to help celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day gifts don’t need to be big, grand gestures and in fact, sometimes something small and sweet is just the thing. The Love You Figurine by Kloche, available from Gift Giving All Wrapped Up, is adorable and trust me when I say good things come in small packages with this one.
As going out isn’t an option this Valentine’s Day we really have the make the most of being at home. Get together with your partner to do something fun like to play the Taskmaster board game*. The game includes exclusive video tasks from Alex Horne
