There was once a time when we were able to spend whatever we wanted on occasions such as birthdays or Valentine’s Day. Now that we’re a family with other things to prioritise we try to keep costs down and do things on a budget where possible. Also, Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to cost a fortune if you don’t want it to. With that in mind, here are some lovely Valentine’s Day gift ideas that are all under £20!
If, like us, you really can’t get out for a spa day with your loved one this Valentine’s Day then you could always bring the spa to you. T-Zone have a great range of products suitable for all skin times and not just for women either. It could be loads of fun to stay in, get some nice food and a movie and chill out in your dressing gowns with a face mask!
While having a pamper together as a couple is a great idea, I would also personally love a really good soak in a hot bath. An hour of uninterrupted child-free time would be a fantastic gift especially when teamed with Blueberry, Lavender and Chamomile Bath Salts from Hempz.
If a Valentine’s meal is on the cards this year and you fancy getting a bit more dressed up than normal then Kiss have loads of products to choose from. It’s not very often I get to get dressed up and go out just with John so if we got the chance, I would love to make an effort to look great (for me, not John)! Kiss have lashes and nails for all occasions and various styles depending on the look you’re going for.
Maybe you, or the person you’re buying for are a fan of romance novels. Lunch with Harry by Tony Drury is a lovely, short novella at 77 pages long and would make a nice little gift this Valentine’s Day.
John is a huge fan of a pun. It’s become a bit of a thing in our house that I generally buy him a new mug at least once a year. The I Lava You Mug from Find Me A Gift is one of the most fun mugs I’ve found recently and this one suits him so well! This would make a fun gift for your loved one this Valentine’s Day!
If you’re looking to buy a more personal gift for your loved one this year then something for the home could be a nice idea. I personally love the Beautify Navy velvet caddy (make-up brushes not included) and it also comes in grey. The velvet looks and feels luxurious and it can be used for loads of different things; it doesn’t just have to be used for make-up which is what I use mine for.
If you are staying in this Valentine’s Day then maybe thing about putting together some nice food and drinks for your partner. One of John’s favourites is cheese and win and the VonShef Oval Bamboo Cheese Board Set would help to make Valentine’s Day special this year. It comes with a hidden drawer which houses 4 great tools.
Something I love about Valentine’s Day are the fun, smaller gifts. I loved these Perfect Match Chocolates from Find Me A Gift as soon as I saw them. They’re made with Belgian white chocolate and the cute design is not only great for Valentine’s Day but also weddings and anniversaries.
Mixing a favourite drink with chocolate can never be a bad decision so these Baileys salted caramel chocolates would be a great gift this Valentine’s Day. They come in a pouch or a tube and are available in selected ASDA, Morrisons and Co-op stores. I know the pouch wouldn’t last long in my house and sharing would not be an option!
Being a family with a 3 year old, we do have to think about some things to suit us all. If John and I have gifts for each other than I can guarantee you that Erin will either want to share or will want something for herself. A safe and fun gift for everyone would be the HARIBO Heart Throbs Gift Box. It comes in 2 sizes so you can either share… or keep it for yourself!
Do any of these catch your eye? Would your Valentine like any of the products we’ve suggested?
