It seems like only two minutes since it was Christmas but before you know it, Valentine’s Day will be here. For me, Valentine’s Day isn’t about finding the biggest or most extravagant present for your loved one but instead finding something that they will really love or something that will mean a lot to them. So, here are some ideas for Valentine’s Day Gifts for women.
Really, this gift is a bit of a cheat as it’s really for a couple. People have been going mad for Beauty and the Beast related items since the release of the new film and Find Me A Gift have got a great gift idea for fans. These Beauty and the Beast mugs, which come in a set, cost £11.99.
I personally love to go for a nice meal at special times during the year but it’s not something we do enough of any more. Buy A Gift have so many options when it comes to buying a meal experience for someone. The Buy A Gift voucher for a Three Course Meal with Glass of Wine for Two at Prezzo would be my own personal choice. The voucher price is much cheaper than paying for this kind of meal on it’s own and it’s also valid for 10 months so you can book for when suits you!
Something I love after a long day is a nice soak in the bath. Sometimes I can be in there for hours if the water is hot enough. Instead of buying ready made bath products sometimes it can be really fun to have a go at making your own. Naissance’s Make Your Own Relaxing Bath Salts set costs £16.99 and includes everything you need to create your own relaxing bath!
Many women love a gorgeous new handbag and I am no exception. Now that Erin is starting to walk more places, rather than be in the pushchair, I find I need something that goes over the shoulder but will also fit in quite a bit. The Matida Mae bag from Mia Tui is absolutely perfect and it comes in a range of colours. The bag is £30 and comes with an insulated bottle holder, key clip, pen holder, phone pocket and also comes with a small matching clutch bag!
If, like me, you always like to have a notebook in your handbag then The Gifted Notebook have such a wide range available and there’s bound to be loads of choice for the stationery lover in your life. How gorgeous is this Castelli Tucson Ivory Notebook in Forest Green? I’m so in love with the colour and this one costs £12.95. More colours are available as well as notebooks with stunning gold and black designs.
Generally, I never treat myself to nice hair products unless they are in a mega sale. I love really nice shampoos and conditioners as well as styling products. Phil Smith products are available to buy at Sainsbury’s and the range is fantastic. There’s something for everyone and a few products bundled together would make a fantastic gift.
Sometimes I think I forget that I’m nearly 32 and I need to look after my skin more. Much like hair care though, skin products are not something I would buy myself as I always find more important things to buy first. Angela Langford has an amazing range of skincare products and the Balancing Act moisturiser is my new favourite. I have been using this since the beginning of December and it’s made a real different to my skin. This is a balancing & anti-ageing daily moisturiser with chia seed, willowherb and evening primrose. This one costs £31 and it’s something I’ll be ordering as soon as mine starts to run out.
There’s nothing better than to remember the great moments from your relationship or marriage on Valentine’s Day. Bags of Love have so many gifts that you can personalise and I am so in love with these fridge magnets. You can choose from packs of 5, 10 or 20 and either rectangle or circles. These magnets now show some of the best moments that me and John have had together and now Erin can see them on the fridge too.
Since John and I got married in 2013 I have been looking for something to keep all of our loose photos and other keepsakes from our wedding. Bags of Love do a biscuit tin which can be personalised with a photo for £19.00. Now, I know I’m not using this for the typical products but it is the perfect size for photos. I love that it’s got one of our wedding photos on the front so I remember exactly what is in there.
Ever since my long stay in hospital when Erin was born I have always liked to have some kind of lip balm handy. Liquorice Balm is the perfect size to keep in a handbag or a drawer at home and it only costs £7.95. Liquorice Balm can help reduce the frequency and intensity of cold sore outbreaks so this is the perfect accessory for kissing the person you love on Valentine’s Day this year!
Another product that would go great in a pampering hamper is the Hempz Pomegranate Body Wash. Hempz is a relatively new brand to me but they do some super amazing products that are Paraben Free, Gluten Free, THC Drug Free and not tested on animals. This particular body wash costs £16.99 but trust me when I say it smells fantastic.
Kitchen accessories can be a super boring, and pretty normal gift but not this one. Find Me A Gift have come up with the We Go Together Like… chopping board and it’s perfect for couples. At £24.99, this item can be personalised with the couple’s names at the bottom and it comes in traditional Valentine’s Day red.
Candles can be a great addition to any Valentine’s Day and you will obviously need something to light them with. Zippo have some lovely lighters that will last year after year and some of them can even be customised! This heart lighter is perfect for Valentine’s Day!
I hope this post has given you some ideas for gifts this year! If any scream out to you, please do let me know in the comments!
