Sometimes I think men can be really difficult to buy gifts for, no matter what the occasion. With Valentine’s Day being so close to Christmas ideas may be few and far between so here’s a few to give you some inspiration!
John has a massive sweet tooth and he gets so excited whenever we find a big sweet shop somewhere. As soon as I saw the Love Lolly May Sweet Hamper on Giftpup.com I knew he would love it. The hamper comes absolutely filled to the brim with retro and romantic sweets from Flumps to Love Hearts to Drumstick Lollies! The hamper costs £38.99 and is a pretty amazing gift. I may have this in a gift guide for men but really, it’s the perfect gift for both couples and whole families!
Buy A Gift is one of my favourite places to buy gifts for any occasion and Valentine’s Day is no exception. They have such a wide range of experiences and there really is something for everyone. The Fun Together Smartbox is a great gift for Valentine’s Day because at £39.99 it’s such a good price, they’re all for 2 people and there are over 2000 experiences to choose from. You could choose from a three course meal, a spa treatment or a fun day out! If you’re not sure what someone might like, this would be the ideal gift.
If you’re looking for something really personal this Valentine’s Day then The Book of Everyone is a fantastic pick. There are so many different options available and books for all occasions. Each book is truly unique and so many of the pages inside can be customised to suit the recipient perfectly. The book pictured below starts from £23.95 and is the romantic edition.
If the man you’re buying for likes a nice drink then 31Dover.com is the perfect place to shop for a Valentine’s gift this year. New for 2018 is the Peaky Blinder range which includes Spiced Rum, Irish Whiskey and Spiced Gin. Bottles cost £24.99 each, which is really reasonable and they come in a lovely 31Dover.com gift box.

Going for a date night or a meal for Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to mean getting really dressed up. If, like us, you’re more likely to go somewhere as a family then something like the Dobell 100% Cotton Navy Blue Check Shirt with Button Down Collar would be perfect! The shirt costs £19.99 and would be great for a family meal and it’s something that can get worn for more occasions than maybe a dress shirt.
Some people may think that socks are a bit of a cop out or a boring gift. Personally, I love getting socks and so does John! The Levis 3 pack of socks set from Mainline Menswear is a lovely gift and it’s presented really well. At £15, this won’t break the bank either!
Valentine’s Day, being in the middle of February, means that it’s still pretty cold most of the time! BUFF make super warm and cosy hats and with John having very little hair, his head needs covering! The Basic Black Hat goes with anything and is an easy choice. BUFF do have much more colourful hats too, and also for women, if you want something a bit more exciting!
John is a pretty strange kinda guy… in the best way possible and as soon as I saw this ‘I Love How Strange You Are’ cushion I knew it would be perfect for him. The cushion comes from Gift Pup and can be personalised with name at the bottom for £24.99. This cushion is incredibly soft and squidgy and perfect for relaxing on the couch.
I sometimes think dads and husbands forgotten about in terms of how much they do. I certainly don’t give John enough credit most of the time for how much he does every day. Dadmin have a fantastic range of products that recognises this and I love the mug, which costs £9.99.
John is a massive Harry Potter fan so for most occasions, he does get something HP related most of the time. We often go away for the weekend and also have a few holidays booked this year so the Harry Potter Travel Mug from Paladone (£11.99) is the perfect gift for him.
If the man you’re buying for like to look after himself and his skin then Boots have a great range of skincare for men. The Soothing Exfoliating Facial Polish (£13.99) and Daily Soothing Facial Wash (£12.99) would make a lovely set when put together and also great if maybe you’re thinking of going away for Valentine’s Day! Both smell amazing and are gentle on the skin.
Which of these would you buy for your partner or, which would you like for yourself? Let me know in the comments!
