During the back to school season I think it’s so easy to focus on the children. Of course, going back to school is most definitely about them but we forget that as parents, we also have a lot to do and a lot to think about. Erin might only be at nursery at the moment but we still have to think about things like school trips, packed lunches during the holidays when she doesn’t have hot lunches, school uniform and anything we have going on in between. BioCare kindly sent us a back to school package recently to help us get the new term off to a good start and to keep us organised.
Something I feel is super important when it comes to back to school is organisation. I hate feeling like I have missed something, or forgotten that something is happening so our 2019 family planner is perfect! Of course, we can’t use this quite yet but I am able to write in any school dates we already have for next year, mark off the school holidays and at least be as organised as I can. Having a planner like this means John can also see all of our plans and can see if he needs to take any days off work for events.
I wish I could say that we all get our 5 fruit and veg a day, get enough sleep and somehow get all of the vitamins and minerals we need on a daily basis… but we don’t. There’s nothing wrong with admitting that you need a bit of help in certain areas. With the help of multivitamins and food supplements from BioCare we can all get a bit of extra help! The children’s products are powder so they can be easily mixed into drinks or yogurts or children can take the BioMelts themselves!
When Erin finished nursery at 3:30 she’s usually starving and immediately wants food when I pick her up. However, as she is also so tired she is normally asleep by 4:30 so we struggle to get dinner in her once she’s home. As we have a 15 minute walk home I usually take her something like a sandwich to eat on the way and these snack boxes are absolutely perfect for that. We have 4 different sized boxes so we can fit in different amounts depending on how long we’re going to be/ how hungry Erin is! These aren’t just good for back to school though and I know we’ll be using them all the time.
I think one of the worst things about Erin going to nursery is the early mornings. I have to get up at 6:15 in order to have a bath and get myself ready before John goes to work. Of course, I could do this later but Erin can make it incredibly difficult at times and I don’t actually fancy sharing a bath with her that early in the morning. Now though, BioCare has us covered and I can at least feel organised, knowing that we’re all doing the best we can!
