Thanks to other books, TV shows and films, dinosaurs seem to be a huge topic of interest for children, even from a young age. There’s so much to learn and as someone who doesn’t know an awful lot about dinosaurs, I turn to books for help.

‘Kaleidoscope of dinosaurs and Prehistoric life’ is such a bold and beautiful book and one that definitely stands out on the shelf. Inside, the illustrations are fantastic. You’ll see really colourful pages, a mix of a background colour and the images themselves. I love the layout of this book; it’s really something great to look at and flick through, when not reading in more detail.

This is a book with loads of awesome information, but broken down into really useful sections. For example, you can find out about different kinds of fossils on one page, the colours of things like skin and feathers, as well as how long ago some things happened.

For me, ‘Kaleidoscope of dinosaurs and Prehistoric life’ is really different to other dinosaur books that I’ve looked at with Erin. This one has a lot of different information and sections in comparison, and there’s loads of new stuff to learn. It’s also one of those books where you can read a page/ section at a time and come back to it later to learn something else.
