Today I’m bringing you a review for a really cool book; Living Planet: The Story Of Survival On Planet Earth. The book was published by Welbeck Publishing on 5th March and it can be purchased on Amazon (AD).
Living Planet explores Nature in all its glory – from the formation of the Earth and prehistoric life to the varied habitats of our world today.
Discover what our planet is made of, and how humans have made an impact on Earth’s changing climate. Watch incredible videos play on the page with the free augmented reality app – see a volcano erupt, watch the plants and animals of the rainforest, follow in the footsteps of a storm chaser, and see right to the Earth’s core in this unmissable exploration of the amazing world we live in.
Erin is really into learning about new things at the minute and she wants to know as much as she possibly can about them. We’ve recently come across the book Living Planet: The Story Of Survival On Planet Earth which is full so many good things from animals to habitats. The contents are laid out really nicely and into different sections so you can easily skip to a subject that you’re interested in!
Living Planet: The Story Of Survival On Planet Earth is a book with a bit of a difference. Instead of being full of images and text about the specific subjects you can also watch some video. I love that this book adds a really different element to help children learn and to help them get interested about something new. Now that we’re in a time where so many kids know how YouTube works I think this is a great idea.
Each page is really set out well, with brightly coloured images and clearly laid out text boxes. There are lots of little bits of information about various topics and it’s great for children who don’t like too much thrown at them in one go. We’re slowly working our way through and it’s teaching me a thing or two as well!
