An Evening Of Pampering With Indigo Herbs & Giveaway!

Erin is now 19 months old and John and I have never been out together for a date night since she was born. Erin doesn’t seen any adults on a very regular basis apart from me and John so I haven’t really felt comfortable enough to leave her with anyone. My mum and sister & BIL see her often enough now though that I would leave her with them if we had the chance but it hasn’t come up yet! Anyway, that’s not really the point here. The point is that we now have to figure out how to spend quality time together at home. Indigo Herbs recently sent us a couple of items so that we could have a nice night in, relax and treat ourselves a little bit.

Chocolate Making Kit

John is a self-confessed chocaholic. He loves the stuff but hates how unhealthy it is for him. Knowing this, I loved the idea of an organic chocolate making kit. I’ve had some moulds in a cupboard for months and months that hadn’t been used yet so this was the perfect opportunity.

Making the chocolate was really easy and didn’t take too long at all. It was really fun making something a bit different and I love how they came out. Unfortunately, raw chocolate is far too bitter for my liking but John and my mum thought they were lovely!

Emotional Balance (Massage Oil) Blend

Before now I had never used aromatherapy oils before. However, I’m always up for trying something new. As someone who has suffered from PND and find extremely stressful I do need some time to unwind and relax now, more so than I ever did before. I love having a bath on an evening when I’m able to shut the door, totally shut off from everything and completely relax.

Adding a couple of drops of this massage oil into a bath works wonders! The smell is amazing! I recently had a cold but as the bathroom filled with the scent of fennel, geranium, lavender and bergamot I begun to feel more alert and less blocked up. I know that this one is for helping emotional balance but I found it to really help when I was ill. While I haven’t used this as a proper massage oil yet, I do love using it in the bath!
