Introducing The Norfolk Cake House

Out of all of the people I know I think I would really struggle to find someone who doesn’t like cake. I am not the best baker and in fact, I’m really not very good at it but I love a delicious treat! Today I am so excited to introduce you to The Norfolk Cake House, a local company to me in North Norfolk, run by the very talented Laura Payne.

Based in North Walsham, Laura runs her business from her professional studio kitchen and offers wedding cakes, celebration cakes, cupcakes and biscuits. I have the absolute pleasure of working with The Norfolk Cake House and I’ll be sharing with you some of their amazing creations over the coming months, starting with a personal favourite of mine, the gingerbread cookies.

I have always had a thing for gingerbread but it has to be soft. There’s something really wrong with hard gingerbread and I just don’t get it. The gingerbread cookies from The Norfolk Cake House are honestly the best I’ve ever tasted (and I take my gingerbread very seriously). As it’s just before Christmas, I had a box beautifully decorated with a festive design. This was ideal for this time of year and it was a lovely treat to share with family.

Gingerbread cookies can be ordered for delivery in boxes of 16, with designs such as silver and white or smarties! Once you have that very first bite you’re going to want to keep going! If you’re looking for a gift then these would be ideal. The Norfolk Cake House can be found at our local market but these can be posted and are shipped first class!

  1. These look beautiful. I’m totally with you, I need my gingerbread to be soft, and very gingery – so many aren’t gingery enough for me!
