Add light to a basement

If you are lucky enough to have a basement in your house it can be a great way to maximise space and create and extra room. However, natural light can be a real problem and your new extra room could end up looking dark and dingy. Installing glass panels in the floor above is a really inventive way of adding natural light into a basement room andΒ can brighten up what could otherwise be quite an uninviting room.

Balcony floors

Plenty of houses now have the addition of balconies, especially coming off the main bedroom. This area of the home could be a really nice place to relax on a warmer day, especially if it offers a lovely view of the garden. Instead of just being able to look out on to the garden though, it would be even better to be able to look down on the space underneath! Panels can be made to custom sizes so you can design your balcony however you like.

Garden feature

Gardens can be turned into a really magical area of your home and in some ways, can be an extension of the living areas. You don’t have to stick with materials like brick and stone though as walk on glass panels could be used to form a really beautiful feature. Maybe you have a well under the ground that you’d like to be able to look down on or maybe you could add multiple glass panels to make stepping stones, adding some lights underneath!

As you can see, there are plenty of ways to use glass in the home and lots of ways youΒ might not have considered before!Β
