Our Family Holiday Bucket List

Having just got back from a wonderful holiday at Center Parcs, I am in massive holiday mood. I am already itching to book another and I was pretty much as soon as I stepped through the door. I want Erin to experience as much as the world as possible, and visit new places as much as we can afford to! I am always looking for inspiration for our next family adventure and Destination2 is a fantastic place to start. I’ve found a few fantastic places that are going straight on our family holiday bucket list.

Maldives

I used to love really busy, city holidays but since having Erin and being self-employed, I am much more likely to book a relaxing holiday somewhere. I actually used to hate the thought of laying on a beach somewhere but I can’t imagine much better now. I have loved the thought of a holiday to the Maldives for quite some time now. Not only are there gorgeous beaches and the beautiful sea but there are also loads of activities to do if you want to. It’s a bit tricky to decide the best time to visit though as there is chance for rain most of the year!

Dominican Republic

A couple of years ago my sister and her fiance when on a cruise around the Caribbean and ever since, I have wanted to go myself. The Dominican Republic would be a great place to start without going on a cruise. A lot of the resorts have fantastic facilities for children and loads to do as a family. John could use the gyms on site or go for a run on the beach, we could all go for a swim in the pool and Erin could spend a bit of time in one of the children’s clubs. I could see a week on holiday here being absolute bliss!

Crete

Crete is much closer to home than the previous two destinations on my bucket list! Crete is in Greece (for those of you who may not know) and the flights are only a few hours. This makes it a much more Erin friendly destination because she wouldn’t get quite so bored travelling there. John and I have both wanted to go to Greece for quite some time and Crete looks beautiful. There are loads of options for places to stay and also loads to choose from in terms of how to spend your day. You could spend the whole time at your resort or go a bit further afield and book in some day trips to other parts of Greece! I think we’d be spoiled for choice.

Even though these places are so different from one another, I think I would have such a hard time deciding between them. The Destination2 is so helpful as it explains what you get in each location, what there is to do and they also have loads of options for where to stay!

Where would you book for your next holiday!?
