New Skills To Learn In 2020

A New Year usually means making New Year’s resolutions. While a lot of these can be to lose weight, exercise more or maybe see more of your friends there are lots of other things that you could do instead. Something that could be really fun is learning a new skill. This could be a way of pushing yourself to do something different or out of your comfort zone. You might be interested in learning one of these new skills this year:

DIY

We live in an old Victorian house and as well as the previous owners not looking after it very well, we also need to keep on top of everything that needs fixing. I don’t know how to do anything though and to be completely honest, I get a bit scared about even trying to do something. YouTube has some great videos for DIY tutorials but I chicken out a little bit and then don’t want to try. However, I would love toΒ learn more about some of the easier jobs that I could maybe get done myself around the house. Being able to tackle some of the easier jobs would not only improve our home but it would save us money as we wouldn’t need to pay someone to do the jobs.

Improve your photography skills

As a full time blogger I take a lot of photos. I think I could easily say that I take a lot more than the average person on a daily basis and if I need a particular image, I will take hundreds to make sure I get the right one. However, I take a lot of photos on my mobile phone even though I also own another camera.

The thing is, I don’t really know how to take photos on anything other than automatic mode. I really don’t know how to use the features on either my camera or my mobile phone and I would love to know a bit more about the technical features. Although photography is really a part of my job I wouldn’t say I really know it as a skill. I would love to learn how to do it properly.

Make some extra cash

I’m sure we could all do with more money than what we actually have. Years ago I started to have a few side hustles to make a few extra pennies online. This started out by writing consumer reviews and literally earning pennies each time to now being a full time blogger and making a living online. There are loads of ways to earn money online though and it’s all about finding something that suits you.

Nowadays you can earn money for taking surveys, scanning receipts to an app or even buying and selling Cryptocurrency on websites such asΒ https://www.virgocx.ca/#/.

Take up a sport

A lot of people make New Year’s resolutions to either be fitter, go to the gym more or be healthier when it comes to food. These might not be very manageable though as they soon get boring and samey. Instead of forcing yourself to go to the gym and run on a treadmill that you hate taking up a new sport might be a better way of getting fitter. Of course, sports can also help you to think about different things so also help in different areas too.

There are loads of interesting sports to try such as rock climbing, trampolining, ultimate Frisbee or even sports that require target practice. Some of these sports cost more money to start than others, with equipment such asΒ https://www.tenpointcrossbows.com/shop/EVO-X-CenterPunch-Broadhead-3-pack-P231.aspx needing to be purchased beforehand.
