John and I love to get away and this year we have been on a fair few weekends away and a holiday. Neither of us drive though so we always have to use public transport. Not all trains have plug sockets so sometimes we’re stuck for 4+ hours without a way to charge our phones and tablets. When John and I go away together we end up with 2 phones, a camera, tablet and a laptop depending on how long we go for. A power bank is a must have in our family!
Varta are a big name in batteries, whether that be regular, rechargeable or portable and recently we were sent the Slim Power Bank 6000 to put to the test. When we take so much out with us on a regular day, we needed something that was slim but also quite powerful at the same time and Varta thought that this would be the best product for us.
The Slim Power Bank 6000 has so many great features. To start with, it looks super nice. The silver colour will be perfect for anyone as it looks stylish no matter who it is for. There’s never any guessing about how much battery life is left either as the power bank has 4 blue lights which show what charge is left. I think this is a really important feature so that you don’t over charge unnecessarily and also so you don’t get caught out without any power!
Something I think important in a power bank is its suitability for the owner. When John and I go away together sometimes we are our for the whole day, without going back to our hotel until the evening. After you’ve had a mobile phone for a bit of time the battery doesn’t last as long as it should and having apps running can drain it quite quickly. I can easily say that neither of our phone batteries would last for being out for a whole day. The Slim Power Bank 6000 has 2 charging ports so you can charge 2 devices at once. This is absolutely perfect for families like ours.
Some power banks are more powerful than others and therefore, give the ability to charge more in one go than others. The Slim Power Bank 6000 can charge a phone fully twice (or two phones once in our case) or it can charge a tablet fully! This power bank is plenty powerful enough for us and can easily get us through a day without any of our devices losing power. Even though this power bank can charge enough for us for a day out, it isn’t bulky at all in size. In fact, the power bank is only as think as my Huawei P9 with a big protective case on. Carrying this about is really no trouble at all and it won
I think the Slim Power Bank 6000 is perfect for families as well as bloggers. I take a lot of photos when I’m out and about and knowing I don’t have to worry about my battery dying gives me real peace of mind. Not only that, but when you’re out for the day with a toddler, you never want your phone to run out of charge, just in case you need it in an emergency. Luckily, Varta has us covered!

That’s so useful! Nobody wants to run out of power.. I can think of a few people that would benefit from this
This sounds like a great power bank, I recently got one and take it most places now, especially as my iphone is dying!
Mine comes everywhere with me!
Very useful, I really think I need to invest in one.
A good power bank is definitely a must-have travel essential. I bought a cheaper brand awhile back and it no longer holds charge. I’m in the market for a new one – this one sounds good!
I had a cheaper one a while back and it was awful
Sounds like a brilliant power bank. We love Varta products and have quite a few. I might have to pick this one up for when I attend events.
It’s so handy!
This looks very useful especially if you travel a lot or have children. I’ll pop it on my Christmas wish list.
This looks great! I love the look of it and such a useful thing to have. I can think of a few people who would love this for Christmas.
Powerbanks are great – really useful for taking on camping trips and also just to slip into your handbag. Su
This looks great! My external battery is a brick to lug around.
