We’ve had a couple of awful months of weather and what seems like never ending storms. Everything has seemed to be dark, grey and miserable and it’s put a real downer on our moods. With the sun finally starting to shine and the daffodils blooming, it seems like spring is finally around the corner. Of course, with a new season (and a growth spurt) comes a new wardrobe and this spring we have discovered Lindex, a clothing brand for women and children.
As I was browsing the kids range, which goes from 2-8 years, what immediately stood out was how fun the clothes were. Sometimes children’s clothes, especially for girls, can be quite dull and boring because of the colours used. This definitely wasn’t the case with Lindex though and it was as though sunshine had been injected into the range.
Erin is a really active child and she loves nothing more than to run around outdoors and to explore. I need her clothes to be soft and comfortable but also fun at the same time. She is getting to an age where she’s showing a preference for what she likes and that’s usually something bright with fun characters or animals.
Lindex’s light green tunic with rabbit print is such a lovely fit on Erin. The long sleeves keep her warm while there is a still a chill in the air and I love the long length. The tunic has pockets and this was something Erin got excited about straight away. Of course, the bunny sticking out of one was also a big hit!
The gorgeous floral patterned treggings are a perfect match for the tunic with the colours being ideal for spring. The material is quite thick but also super soft so fantastic for running around and going on adventures.
Although Erin would love to wear dresses every day they’re just not that practical for her so we tend to go for a lot of jeans with t-shirts so that we can mix and match. Lindex have so many super fun tops to choose from, either in t-shirt or tunic style and they’re great for pairing with plainer bottoms if this is what you like to go for. The children’s range also have plenty of items to mix and match and different pieces in the same pattern, such as the cat tunic seen below which has matching leggings.
Spring means needing to switch from a big winter coat to something a bit more lightweight. I fell in love with the yellow cotton jacket as soon as I saw it. Being bold and bright with a fun dotty pattern inside means that it goes well with the rest of the Lindex Kids range. The jacket has both zip and push button fastenings, along with elasticated cuffs meaning it can keep out any chilly breeze!
A fun feature of the jacket is the removable hood. Living in the UK means that our weather is pretty unpredictable and we can sometimes get caught in a shower. The hidden poppers make it so the hood can be easily added to the jacket or on the other hand, taken off again when the sun comes out! It’s also nice to have a jacket that can offer two different looks!
Something I haven’t mentioned yet is the prices. The jacket cost £29.99 while everything else was only £9.99 each. The Lindex Kids range is really reasonably priced and everything is so different to what you can find in the high street shops or supermarkets. I already have my eye on some other pieces and not just for Erin!
